Watched N. Grace when Carnel's mom called in and I thought this was an old case because the egg donor sounded so matter of fact, almost as if telling facts from a story she was reading!!!  Not only am I so sick and sorry for Carnel but for his Uncle and Gma.  What a sad statement he wrote. I really admire him for sticking up for Carnel. I wish they had rescued that poor baby before it was too late but I am sure their hands were tied. Thank you Wyks for letting us see that.  I would sign anything against Carnel's egg donor!!!!  Put that slore in jail.

Melisb and others, I agree with what you are saying.  And thanks Wyks for the pictures.  I understand holding down a job is important, but it should never be more important that the welfare of your child.  She should be held accountable too! IMO

Wow.  Carnel's uncle really seems to be hurting.  I hope that bring justice to Carnel will help him and Carnel's grandmother overcome some of the pain.  The egg donor should be sitting under a jail.

I can completely understand the brother's anguish!  If I understand what he posted correctly then he is saying that Carnel's Gma raised him and was only out of her care for just a short time because his egg donor got mad and took him back.  She also didn't need a job because of all the money coming into the house for free and she only got this job while scum was watching her child!  So...is he saying she stayed out of the home so he could torture this child and/or do what he wanted to him and she didn't have to be witness????  Put her nasty azz in jail!  I think I heard the same thing Nancy Grace did and that was she kinda, sorta new he had been abused by the boyfriend but she just didn't do anything about it!  Not at all verbatim but I think Nancy was as shocked as I was and didn't really respond in her usual way!

A trial date has been set for Anthony Bennett, the man charged with assaulting 4-year-old Carnel.

According to federal court papers, Bennett's last day to accept a plea agreement in the case will be Nov. 13. If no agreement is reached, the trial would start on Nov. 27.

Burns me up that it seems the only charges being brought against him SO FAR, are charges for assault.  Cannot find any newer info on charges than this.   I do know they were waiting on forensics to come back, before adding more charges.  Seems that with as much time as has passed, those forensics 'should be' back in by now.  ?? 

Reportedly, Bennett was the only one home when Carnel was beaten, dismembered, burned, then buried under the porch.  So charging him with assault seems so meaningless, in terms of Justice for Carnel.  IMO.

Well, she didn't face justice for Carnel's death but she'll spend some serious time in prison for drugs.  I'll bet her bf set her up with LE.  That's probably where that plea deal came from.
