Jena was last seen at her Florence, KY home on December 19, 2013. Her family has not seen or heard from her since. We tracked her through her iPhone to Las Vegas and to Los Angeles. We believe she has stopped using that phone because it has not been turned on in several days. We believe she is back in Las Vegas because her dog was found there, tied to a fence outside the Diamond Inn. Jena loved that dog and it’s hard to believe she’d leave her behind. She left home in her 2006 powder blue Volkswagen Beetle Kentucky License plate 316-MYB with a promise to return for a doctor’s appointment on December 26. She did not return. Jena has two tattoos: a black rag doll over her left clavicle and a large black and red tattoo on her right torso.

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

A dog belonging to a missing 20-year-old Kentucky woman has been found on the Vegas Strip. The woman's family said they haven't seen her since Dec. 19.

The family of Jena Chisholm started a Facebook page dedicated to their search for her. Her aunt, Jeni McArtor, who is in charge of the Facebook page, said Jena Chisholm was last seen at her home in Florence, KY, where she lives with her father.

McArtor said the father awoke Dec. 20 to a note that read Jena Chisholm was staying with a friend and would return home in time for a doctor's appointment the day after Christmas. She said Chisholm never returned.

McArtor said the family used an app on Jena Chisholm's cell phone to determine that she was recently in the Las Vegas, Albuquerque and Los Angeles areas.

thanks Red for posting this.

I thought it was really strange that Jena went missing on the 19th and Alex Johnson went missing from Lexington, KY on the 20th.  Probably not anything connected but just strange that they are 70 miles apart and both disappear at the same time.

Jena has been found at a casino with a guy that looks homeless  (I still wonder if Alex Johnson could be that guy).  Jena called her mother this afternoon:

Missing Boone County woman found at Las Vegas casino

FLORENCE, Ky. -- The mother of a 20-year-old Northern Kentucky woman who was reported missing after she left home in the middle of the night said her daughter contacted her Friday evening.

A report said Jena Chisholm called her mother, Tina Chisholm, from The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas - a hotel and casino along the city's heavily-toured strip.

According to police, Jena Chisholm had been sleeping at the parking garage at the resort. She went willingly to the security office at the resort and told them who she was. Security guards then called her mother, Tina Chisholm.

Security guards say she seemed confused and scared.

During an news conference Friday evening, Chisholm's mother told reporters that her daughter had a mental breakdown. She said she left Kentucky to reportedly clear her head.

It goes without saying, that we want to take this time to thank all you wonderful people for the caring and loving nature you have shown us, especially in Vegas. As a family we have truly seen the goodness of people. Jena was 20 years old and yeah, she's an adult and can make her own decisions, but that does not mean she did not need the help she can now receive. Bless you all for all the love and support you have shown us. WE HAVE FOUND JENA CHISHOLM. Now, lets all work together to help find the thousands of other missing people. Through social media and prayer we have seen what we can do together. Thank you all so much, we are eternally grateful.

I stand with the girl, Natalee Holloway.

"I can look back over the past 10 years and there were no steps wasted, and there are no regrets,'' she said. "I did all I knew to do and I think that gives me greater peace now." "I've lived every parent's worst nightmare and I'm the parent that nobody wants to be," she said.

I am overjoyed that this missing persons case had a happy ending. From the outset it sounded like Jena had some issues and troubles and it would have been tragic had those issued snowballed into an even more tragic ending. I hope Jena with the help of her family and friends can get the help she needs and go about her life. And hoping for a long and successful one.
