Hey Guys! Here's a pic from Hubby's pinning ceremony, it was so beautiful! He's not in this pic, but I wanted to show the lamp lighting. They stretched all the way around the theater.

FOR THE LAST TIME -The only forums/sites SM have anything to do with are SM.com, SM.net, SM.com/radio,  MissingExploited, and Blinkoncrime.  So SS and LDSTLOU you both have no idea what you are talking about:

I wonder if that would be the same lawyer who told ld it was OK to post somebody's social security number on the internet for the purpose of harrassment.

A site clearly labeled as satire is difficult to silence and it is interesting how they blame everything on any forum anywhere on SM.

Reminds me of how The Dark Lard used to think any time he encountered a poster who did not share his delusions no matter the forum, country, etc. it just had to be ME!

I wonder if they are complaining to Red about this totally separate forum because I doubt he would even have a clue as to what they are talking about.  Need to clean up their own lies and posting of personal information about others, usually 100% wrong, before they whine about others.

Cool story - quick thinking 6yr old!

Nebraska Boy, 6, Takes the Wheel During Dad's Diabetic Episode, Saves Family
Friday , May 22, 2009

A 6-year-old Nebraska boy who took the wheel when his diabetic dad passed out saved their lives — and is now being hailed a hero.

Tustin Mains was in the back seat of the family pickup truck with his 3-year-old brother when his father, Philip Mains, suffered a low blood sugar attack and suddenly lost consciousness.

The quick-thinking Tustin grabbed the wheel and kept the vehicle from crashing until police were able to bring it to a stop, authorities said.

The family had been driving home from dinner at a local restaurant Sunday in North Platte, Neb., when tragedy was averted.

"I saw my dad fall asleep and I climbed over the seat and got on my dad's lap," Tustin told The North Platte Telegrah. "I was scared."

Tustin leapt into his father's lap so he could steer and see out the windshield. Mains' foot had slipped off the accelerator, but even at idle the Chevrolet Avalanche was going an estimated 10-15 mph, police said.

"I remember getting up to about the mall — that was about 6:45," Philip Mains told the Telegraph. "The next thing I remember was waking up to the officer and paramedics, and it was 8:15."

The kindergartner steered the truck several blocks, even turning around when he entered a neighborhood he didn't recognize, until he was spotted by police.

North Platte officer Roger Freeze ran up to the moving pickup, reached through an open window and rammed the gearshift into park.

When he saw his dad "fall asleep," Tustin said, he got scared, then got another fright when officer Freeze appeared at the truck's window.

But when Freeze abruptly stopped the pickup?

"I was just happy," Tustin said.

DOLCE    I was trying to decide which thread to go O/T in to thank you and finally thought I'd do it here. Thank you for helping with the Amber Dubois letter campaign. You were so great at the awareness for Adji, so I hope you didn't mind me suggesting asking for your wisdom in her case. The family is so devoted to her and have such a realistic yet hopeful outlook. They're grateful for any attention to her cause, so please know that I'm in awe of your big heart and your networking skills.  Take care and many cyber hugs for all that you do .

Dolce     yep each child deserves a chance especiallywhen it's the underbelly of our society that seems to be running rampant, snatching the innocence from so many. After being here at SM for the last few months, I'm so shocked at the number of missing/abused kids. It's become part of my personal mission to try and be a voice among many that wants the rest of the nation to be aware and maybe start to change a few laws, but that's for another day, today it's Amber. Have a great weekend!

It is shocking how many are missing, and not just children, but adults as well.  Its scary to realize how unsafe we can be even when not doing anything wrong or out of the ordinary.
Hopefully the tides will turn in our favor and those who seek to harm will realize that we as a united front are many in number and we will not stand for this.
Maybe with harsher laws and punishments we could see a decline in this?  Something to ponder, and Deeny has set up a thread for that as well.

Monkeys and Lurkers and Guests...it is not enough to sit here and read and post all day long if you are not willing to do something as simple as sending an email or post a comment requesting that media attention be brought to these cases.  It takes only a moment of your time to help save a childs entire life.
