Hector Avila

HOUSTON - Police are searching for a missing 67-year-old man who reportedly suffers from dementia.

Hector Avila was last seen around 10 a.m. Thursday in the 5900 block of Clarewood, according to a Houston Police Department Missing Persons statement.

Avila was last seen wearing beige pants, a beige shirt and a white and blue cap, according to the statement.

Anyone with information regarding Avila's whereabouts is asked to contact the Houston Police Department's Missing Persons Division at 713-731-5223.

Houston police are looking for a man reported to have dementia.

Hector Avila, 67, was last seen 10 a.m. Thursday at a home in the 5900 block of Clarewood, near Renwick and Bellaire Boulevard. He was wearing beige pants, a beige shirt and a white and blue cap, Houston police said on Friday.

Avila is about 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighs about 150 pounds.

Houston police released a photograph of Avila, but it is about seven years old.

Anyone with information about Avila should call the Houston Police Department's missing person's division at 713-731-5223.

In figuring date went missing to birthdate, this is a match. Apparently he had been found but is now deceased.
