Kentucky State Police issued an Amber Alert for two children who are missing after two people were found dead Tuesday in rural Metcalfe County.

The children, 12-year-old Kyra Shockley and 15-year-old Christopher Endicott, may be traveling in a white 1997 Chevy Lumina with Kentucky license plate 843 GMM, police said. The car has paint peeling from the trunk and hood, one inoperable daytime running light and a missing trunk lock.

Trooper Billy Gregory, a state police spokesman, said one of the children may be related to one of the people found dead, and they may be with a suspect in the death investigation.

Twelve-year-old Kyra Shockley is 4 foot, 8 inches tall, weighs 110 pounds and has blond hair and hazel eyes, according to the Amber Alert. She has a scar on her left eye and wears black glasses with pink diamonds on the side.

Fifteen-year-old Christopher Endicott is 5 feet, 11 inches tall, weighs 250 pounds and has blond hair and green eyes, according to the alert. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a T-shirt and a dark-colored ball cap.

The alert said the children are possibly involved in a double homicide.

The missing boy is the adopted son of two people found dead in a Metcalfe County home, said Trooper Billy Gregory, a state police spokesman. Endicott lived at that same residence.

The two victims, a man and a woman, were discovered Tuesday afternoon. Gregory said they were married and became legal guardians of the boy earlier this year. He could not say how they died.

I have a bad feeling about this.  On Chris's myspace it looks like he has an older sister and younger brother.  Why is he being taken care of by guardians (that have now been murdered)? 

Have a feeling Chris killed his guardians and took off with Kyra.  She may not have gone willingly.

If Christopher is involved, it's a sad story.  No couple deserves an endling like this.

According to police, the slain couple, now identified as Gary and Barbara Holloway, had been the legal guardians of Christopher Endicott since January. Kyra Shockley is believed to be a friend of Endicott.

The Holloways were found by relatives Tuesday afternoon in their home east of Edmonton.

Trooper William Gregory, public affairs officer for the KSP Columbia post, said both of the children are in protective custody.
