CBB this is the ONE song that Reminds me of my time with my guy in the Navy - I was 19 and In Bethesda ..on Vacation I went with My Bro's fiance and our other GF the 3 of us. My Bro was stationed in Bethesda Maryland .. and I met this Naval Corpsman within my 3 wks of stay.

He was so Fine omg and he was from Alabama and he had an Accent. He did not have a Car he rode a Harley ..Yes he did to get from home to base - he was a Corpsman. Off Duty He wore cowboy boots, jean shirts wide open with a cross around his neck and smelled so good Lord have mercy ..and He was in the Navy. He had the tightest Tush on the planet and had Soul and Rhythm and One day during my stay - he had a voice that would make a girl drop dead.

We all went to a House party of Navy Corpsman off base one night and this Song came on - and He picked me up by my Ass/Buns/thighs literally and He and carried me into another room ..and sat me on a counter and Mauled me ... Talk about a SONG to remember

We wrote each other for a year back and forth after we parted and then he just went poof - Bec I could not find him. He was sent all over within the Navy.
He sent me a card 6 yrs later that was sent to my parents address - and I got it forwarded
and He wrote I will always remember YOU .. I cried when I got his card he sent me a photo of him too - I have no idea where he is now.

I have been so busy these days & sorry I can't post every day. My hubby graduates from nursing school today! The pinning ceremony(he is giving the welcome speech) is at 1:00 & the cap & gown ceremony is tonight at 7:00. There has been so much to do to get ready for this. We have had family from out of town come & take us to dinner & tomorrow, friends are having a cookout to celebrate. I'm making a cake for that one!   ::MonkeyTongue: My granddaughter has had a ton of things going on at school as well, & you know we had to attend all of those(she won the blue ribbon in our city art festival, too)! My 3 yr old granddaughter is here every day & has already talked Papa into filling the little pool(although the water feels like it's been in the fridge)! All eyes have to be on her while she's in it, for sure! I keep the Caylee thread open on my computer & everyone knows not to touch that window or else! I refresh & catch up several times a day. I saw most of LKL, although i watched it at 11:00 because Idol was on at the same time & that is a must-see for us! I knew the A's were going to continue the same crap they always have, i still Hate them all! And I never miss NG! I'm going to try to get to some of the other threads soon. i feel bad that I haven't visited them more often. I still have more painting & decorating to do in my house; I'm going to make Hubby help after this weekend.  ::MonkeyTongue::

Good morning monks  ::MonkeyCool::  About those quote stacks...It's okay to use quotes, especially if you are referring to someone's post that isn't on the same page etc.  When I've fussed about quote stacks is when we are all on the same page, basically talking about the same thing, it isn't necessary to hit quote, when a reply will do.  I've seen the quote button used on an article at least seven or eight times in succession on the SAME page.  That means quoting the previous 7 quotes too, instead of quoting just  the original post.  Quoting can add clarity, and it can also muddy up a thread if it us used excessively.  Excessive quotes can make it hard to see who said what, esp. for those coming along and reading later.  I don't have any kind of limit on quote stacks.  I just ask that it be reasonable.  It's okay to quote something funny.  But when you quote the next quoter, then next quoter, then then next, you end up with a stack of (and I have counted) over thirteen quotes on the same article all stacked up.   Not quoted seperatrly or in two's or threes.  It's not so nice to other posters. I saw the Rainbow Bridge with a color photo posted and quoted in an mp thread eleven times in a short period.  Why not refer to the "Rainbow Bridge" or give condolences?  I too am an animal lover, but you all need to remember where you are when you post.  And the threads are read and shared by many other then then few you may see signed in at the time.


I think some are making more of the quote stacking then is necessary.  Sometimes reminders are just that.  And the posts that were removed a couple of days ago by me were OT and stacked.  No one is saying you can't have fun and levity.  Just try to keep it brief in mp threads.  Some may get angry and resentful for what is part of my job as a moderator.  I don't like to spoil fun either.  Just try to keep things reasonable.

Deenie, I am happy to report a similar incident long ago and far away involving a flyboy fighter pilot stationed in Pensecola but happening in Mobile.  Of course everybody here has southern accent but still just something about one and a guy in uniform, lol. 

This song came out a few years later but when I heard it I boy did I know what it meant.  It all came back to me like yesterday. . . . still does!

I agree with the wait...it is hard to take.  He is a very humble person, that LeBron.  I found it touching him going to St. V's to get his award.  I'll take some photos next time I'm over that way & post.  It doesn't look like a monstrosity from the street but it goes way back.  It's alot like him, kind of modest & not grandiose.   I don't know who I want them to play next.  I really would like to beat the Celtics but I love to watch Orlando.  My son likes to say Rayjon Rondo's name!!!!!

Yes, he is very modest and humble.  I'm not surprised to hear that about his house.  And I loved that he went to Saint Vincent Saint Marys--everyone else has always done it at their pratice facility or stadium.  He is truly one of the good guys, in an age with people like A-rod and steroids.  He has handled everything so well. And he's so darn funny!!!

I would love to beat the celtics too.  And I think they'd be easier to beat than orlando.  I wouldn't have said that a month ago, but I don't think they're the same team they once were.  But really, I don't think it'll matter. We're just that great.

Monken to answer your question yes I did finish re-decorating my backyard/pool deck.  We did not have the room for the gazeebo, but I purchased some plants and new furniture from Rob and Stucky Patio. 

Below are the finished photos that I took the other day, now the pool has toys in it from the dogs....and hubs is putting up a sheer black baby gate to "rope" off the pool.

For some reason, PT has hysterical all week. Good Morning All!
We made it through last night(My God it was long!) My sister got miffed at me for complaining but it was another 3 hours of speeches in a packed center trying to keep my granddaughters still(at least my daughter & SIL were there to help) and I had to pee & I was trapped in my seat! To top it off, we were in the back of the parking area & there were so many people there we sat in our spot for 30 mins. before we could get out of our spot! Oh & did i mention it was 87 degrees yesterday & this place has no airconditioning?! North Carolina Teen Tries to Rob Bank With Banana, Then Eats It Before Police Arrive

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. —  Authorities say a North Carolina teen who was thwarted as he tried to rob a store with a banana ate it before they could arrive.

Winston-Salem authorities say 17-year-old John Szwalla held the banana under his shirt when he entered the store Thursday, saying he had a gun and demanded money.

Owner Bobby Ray Mabe says he and a customer jumped Szwalla, holding him until deputies arrived. While they waited, Mabe says the teen ate the banana.

Mabe says deputies took pictures of the banana peel.

Forsyth County Sheriff's office spokesman Maj. Brad Stanley says deputies joked about charging Szwalla with destroying evidence.

Szwalla faces a charge of attempted armed robbery. Jail officials say he doesn't have an attorney

I INTEND to do the low carb thing to start................... I've got enough to loose to cycle through several before I'm where I should be.............    ::MonkeyNoNo::

I've done the low carb before. It works pretty quickly, but you really have to be prepared, and groceries get more expensive. It is possible to eat out though, if you're careful.

You got it. Actually I've always modified it to include one fruit a day, and also watch the fat content, choosig fish and chicken and beef in smaller quantities. My fruit is almost always cantaloupe, and any green veggie except the starchy ones.
