For me....just another distraction from Patrick...and Peter in support of Patrick and
Peter solving Natalee's disappearance...BS
Now we are to believe that Sharks prevented Natalee from washing up on shore...
Maybe the rock scenario should be re-examined....That's the area of the sharks.....

What if the cage/trap was already there on the ocean floor.

Joran reveals that he has a diving certificate.
Val has a boat.

I have always thought that the cage was already there and the boys knew about it from diving.
It was right there at the Gottenbos back yard practically.
They wrap the body in a tarp and put it in the cage the next afternoon.  JMO

On the Record w/ Greta - February 8, 2008

GRETA VAN SUSTEREN, HOST: All right. Now, when you showed that tape to Hans Mos, the chief prosecutor, what did he say to you?

PETER DE VRIES, DUTCH CRIME REPORTER:: Oh, he was, of course, very happy. And there was also the police commissioner, Dolph Richardson. And when he was looking at the tape, he said to me, Can you please pinch me in the arm because this is what we are waiting for.

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,329847,00.html

Dolf Richardson was smiling like a skunk on a trash can when he knew the RV Persistence had found that cage/trap.

...me thinks he needed help in order to pull off his conspiracy.
there are others that are aware of the truth that work for/with him.
Who were the divers?
What does the rest of the ROV tape reveal?

Yes, and exactly the color as the material that we see in the underwater pictures of the cage.
I would have used bungee cords to wrap the tarp around the body.  They would take a while to
disintergrate and would keep the body in the cage.

Ahhhhh. I had not thought of bungee cords. Very smart and exactly what is needed in order to keep
the tarp around that body.

the FBI has evidence of a rubber-like material.

The hooks on the bungees would have rusted away in the salt water, and the material covering the rubber cords would be gone, but the rubber cords would remain.
have remained.

I believe that a diver came upon the remains sometime before the Persistence came along
and untied the bundle.  That is why the tarp was outside the trap.
Probably scared the carp out of the diver when he/she saw the bones.

Kermit  - good to see you!  That's what I've always said.  That cage/trap was only 90 ft or so deep.  Very easy to dive with gear but not impossible to free dive as well.  So you weight a body down and drop it by a rope.  The diver follows the rope down and places the body in the cage/trap.

Speculation ... rubber-like material as in a backyard pond line, swimming pool liner, or old and discarded rubber raft?  Or, a rubber-like fishermen's rain coat/jacket?

I agree cuz the location of where that cage is - is not far off shore.

Well, there is definitely that tarp not far from the cage of which Kyle spoke of, BUT we know for a fact,
the  rubber-like material the FBI has possession of.

Probably scared the carp out of the diver when he/she saw the bones.

Kyle speculated that scavenger fish could have made that tarp move, ocean currents perhaps too.
But we know from that detective and his brother someone was well aware of that cage and it's contents.
I do not believe in coincidences.
