Hey, Y'all!  I can't stay (I'm having a great time cleaning my closets; don't be jealous lol), but wanted to let y'all know that I've heard from Glenda regarding my inquiry about the police car story and pictures (again, don't be jealous...) and she said they were driving past the painted rocks (after thought, I think she was joking as she thinks I'm always joking and wanted to fit in) and a group of guys were fighting and hit Julia's car so she called the police and 30 of them arrived at the scene in about two minutes; I guess she has them in her pocket.  She also said she was at the rocks looking for my stolen tiara (although she just said it was lost--where is that rolling eyes emoticon?); so take that information for what it's worth.

Can I borrow you for a few days?

What IF the Kalpoes have really wanted to get to USA so they could "turn State's evidence", but were prevented by ARUBA because of "Visa problems"?????? Just a thought.

In the Joy Behar transcript Michael Griffith used the term "state's evidence" which sounds like more of an American term than an Aruban term so I'm hopeful that the FBI is in talks with K2. I don't know much about Griffith until this Peruvian arrest, would he be in a position to know this information thru FBI?

Roxi I don't think any of us can do anything more than speculate what Griffith meant, but I do feel strongly that post all the publicity around the FBI's handling of the extortion case, that they will be very wary of sharing any information with anyone outside the FBI now.

The very last comments are by John Quiones who relates he spoke with Stephany's parents who confirmed they are very 'concerned' that this entire video series and interview is a strategy to plead insanity for Joran.

So I think they too are now catching on to the 'games' that the van der Sloots play so willingly with other people lives and children.

Sorry, another OT.  Angie, yes I'm in Pittsburgh!  I didn't know you guys were local also, very cool.  I kind of thought that Rob might be, he posted a picture of a license plate one day from Baierl Chevrolet and I was like hey, I bought my car there lol.  I had to laugh at your Kennywood comment, yes those are some old rides.  Hope you have great weather and lots of fun.  And to answer your question, I'm a gal, not a dude lol.  I picked this name because I still like watching the corny old TV Land Police shows like Dragnet and Adam 12 and I'm obviously fascinated by true crime stories and justice (aren't we all?).  My husband (a retired cop) calls me a holster sniffer (lmao) so I just give him a good crotchkick every once in a while.

Absolutely! Joran naturally deflects personal responsibility. The women in his world (according to Joran) are cunning, irresponsible, thrill-seeking, deviant, and somehow culpable for HIS actions (think Anita!). Natalee wanted to see sharks, she took drugs/drank excessively, she danced atop a balcony. Stephany was sneaky, she intruded into his personal life, lacked understanding of highly sensitive subject, and forcefully hit him when he attempted to gain compassion. LIES.

It probably went something like this... Joran tries to get her to drink in the car, Stephany didn't. Joran tries to kiss her... she backed away. Joran used is last hand and invited her to his room to play poker... but really wanted sex. When they got there she told him she has her period. That was all the rejection he could take. Emotional immaturity took over, he lashed out.

When I saw the photos of the room the first thing I noticed was the tile walls. Tile can be a murder weapon... like with Gary Coleman. Well, that probably also included a frying pan.

Joran is not detained in Aruba or The Netherlands. There are no "friends of his family" there. He is in Peru where he murdered in cold blood the daughter of one their most beloved famlies. Relax folks -- Joran is finally cooked. No hotshot Defense lawyer can undo that.

I agree Wreck, I think this time is vastly different.  I take every thing a defense attorney says with a HUGE grain of salt.  They're famous for throwing $h*t and seeing what sticks. (coughBaezcough)  None of it really worries me much. 

Besides, even if by some fluke Joran did go free for the moment, I don't think he'd live very long.  No one wants him at this point, it would be very difficult for him to hide since he is well known around the world now and loathed by many.  I truly believe that if he were to get free, someone would take it upon themselves to make sure he didn't make it out of Peru alive or intact.  Just my gut feeling.
