Good morning, Monkeys!  I'll be in and out all day,(because no one else realizes how important this trial is... )  but I do have a question...Why is Baez and company pushing against the death hair evidence in the trunk, intrusive investigation of the TES workers, and this hard hitting discrediting of all state witnesses?  It doesn't make sense to me, if they truly believed the Caylee accidental drowning story. It's one more reason I believe the supposed defense team pulled this theory out of their ample behinds.

ITA, Monkalicious.. so much of this - Casey's defense - makes little sense to me.

Because like KC, Bozo and Mumbles have to right at all costs.  Even if that cost is their client's freedom or life.

Thank goodness!  I thought it was just me.  I feel utterly confused by where they are goiing with this defense.  I wonder how befuddled the jury feels?

I heard someone singing the Elvis classic "TeddyBear".  I'll bet it was in honor of His Honor!

Before the 11th of August, during an attorney client visit at the jail, Casey told Baez what she "wanted" to tell him as far as drowning, her dad, and where the body was. Law Enforcement heard the conversation but could not go out there and get the body because the media would've torn them apart. How, when, what, etc. And some cop would have lost his pension. So Law Enforcement maneuvers a situation to where Michelle (who is Kronks live in girlfriend, who works at the jail) gives Kronk the info. He goes out there on the 11th, 12th and 13th but cannot find the body. Because Casey told Baez she tripped on some pavers when she went out there. Kronk keyed in on the wrong pavers. He was 75 ft away from where the body was. Pressure was on Law Enforcement at that time to find the body. I went on Nancy grace on December 9, 2008 and said "within TWO days LE will come up with the body." At that time Kronk was redirected and found the body on December 11, 2008. The PI's were out there on the 14th and 15th of November taking pictures. They were directed by someone by Baez's direction. LE cannot admit to have listened to an Attorney/Client conversation neither can Baez admit he had knowledge as far back as August 2008.

Flutter, I think his statement is full of BS.  LE would not allow precious Caylee to lie in the woods for months because of the media.  Now he might, but LE wouldn't.

Well, I thought they were supposed to start at 8:30, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen.

I thought it was 9am.

9:00 am is their normal time and it looks like they will be starting at 9:00 a.m.  I just thought they had a motion to hear first at 8:30...looks like I'm wrong...sorry, not trying to confuse anyone.

Oh, I was just thinking of how cuddly Judge Perry is.  I didn't even think about Caylee's Teddy.

 ::snipping2::
Saturday's second witness, Mike Vincent, an assistant supervisor with the Orange County Sheriff's Office crime-scene unit, said he found no blood in the trunk of the car. He explained how he collected various other pieces of evidence in 2008.

Vincent discussed how he used a pump apparatus with test tubes to collect air samples from inside the car trunk. A stain in the vehicle also was collected, Vincent said.

Scientists associated with Oak Ridge National Laboratory are expected to testify later in the trial about the findings from the air samples.

I have thought and read about this trial all weekend.
It seems to me that JB is arguing against his opening statement by challenging the hair evidence and the odor of decomp in the trunk.
I am so frustrated and confused and am worried that JB et al have 'something' up their collective sleeve.
I am praying here.

I just don't understand how if Kronk really had the body at some point, LE wouldn't have done a search on his property for ...  at the very least, illegal handling of a corpse (or whatever you'd call it).   I haven't heard anything since Caylee was found, suggesting that Kronk's property was searched, and that cadaver dogs hit on anything.  Surely if LE believed that was plausible, they would have done that.

I agree, they have something up their sleeves, but I think it will be total BS just like the opening statement.
