   I really don't understand.  The Defense can cross examine, what is the purpose of making him a witness for the defense?

I believe they are limited with their cross examination questions.

Not as limited in direct.

  Darla!! Gotta agree with everything you said.  It sounds like Judge Perry is fed up with JB. Dr. Vass is very interesting and as you said, talks on a level that most people can understand.

also, will George and Cindy remain in the courtroom if that is done? I could not stand to be in there during that time if it was my grand child..wouldn't the smell remain in that room for a while..
not sure that this is really necessary...Let the jurors draw their own conclusion from the experts testimony and Casey's own demeanor in court and during the tapes while she was in jail..her pictures partying etc...

That's BS! There are attys all over the place in there and no need to serve him in that manner. The defense is just low-lifing and trying to rattle him while he's testifying.

just a guess...but they can only cross examine on what was discussed during the State examination...so JB wants to cross on something else....

While the State is presenting their case and bringing their own witnesses for questioning, the defense can cross examine on anything the State covered with the witness. After the cross by the defense, the State can recross only on what the defense covered with the witness, and so forth until everyone is done. The same will apply to the State when the defense is presenting their case.

That's my understanding.
