Think about it.

The defence strategy protrays George to the jury as a father who betrayed his child to the ultimate and ... who obstructed justice by covering up the accidental/negligent  drowning of his granddaughter.  However the defence strategy is not letting Casey off the hook.  It is betraying Casey as a pathetic figure who lack the ability comprehend reality and lives in a world of her own making.

I suspect that both Casey and George made a decision that implies that the means of the defence strategy justifies the hoped outcome ... the hoped outcome that will create reasonable doubt in jury deliverations ... the hoped outcome that implies that the death penalty or LWOP is not going to happen.

Does anyone think that the State has made deals w/Cindy and George about their testimony.  They have only briefly mentioned Cindy washing the clothes, cleaning items that were in the car, the steak knife, the hairbrush, all the things that we know Cindy/George said and did to obstruct the investigation and or redirect the investigation.  It seems to me that maybe the State said they will not pursue these areas in exchange for their truthful testimony now and if they stop trying to protect ICA. 

That's a good point to consider, but Cindy lied on the stand last week to protect her bad seed.

No.  Cindy was asked about the evening of June 15th, the last time she saw Caylee.  She had just come from Mrs. Pleasea's and learned that Casey had again stolen money from the Pleasea's bank account.  Casey's state of mind on that occasion is a material fact. I don't think Cindy and Casey had a "Pleasant evening."  Think about it, even if we didn't have evidence to the contraray.  A "Pleasant evening" after having learned Casey had stolen yet again from Cindy's parents' bank account.

Cindy also said that she considered Casey to be a wonderful mother.   After all, this case is about what kind of mother Casey was and we have testimony that Cindy did not think Casey was a wonderful mother.  This is another lie about a material fact.

Had Cindy not been asked about this evening she wouldn't have had to mention it.  However, she was asked and was under oath to tell the truth.  She lied.  If someone told her to respond to that question in that way, someone was suborning perjury, and I don't believe that of the State for a minute.  Same with "Wonderful mother."

Can we get a LKB to punch?  She is sooooo slanted towards the defense, obviously, and stretches the truth, or just flat out lies.  I'm so tired of listening to her crap.  Why use her, she obviously has a dog in this race. 

There is defineately something going on with the Baden family.  Dr. Baden was on Geraldo last night and Fox news this morning and was spouting about how one cannot distinguish between rotting meat and rotting human flesh.  They seem to be in the defense corner all the way.

Janet, if you're right, and I suspect you are, then the plan is that Casey will be acquitted and will then recant about George.  George won't be prosecuted and Casey can't be tried again---double jeopardy.

If anything Casey put up the latter after returning from her fake job left the slider wide open so Caylee would go in on her own and drown but that doesn't explain the chloroform 

If an accidental drowning resulted in Caylee's demise ... the truth would have been revealed long ago.  Three years later ... Casey would not be on trial for pre-meditated murder with the death penalty/LWOP conviction hanging over her head.  There would have been a plea deal ... a plea deal implies that Casey would at this point in time would be doing her thing at Fusions every Saturday night.

IMHO, they are risking what is left of their reputation with how vehemently they are siding with the defense.   Considering this case will be setting precedent they are on the wrong side of the advancement of science.
