Good afternoon Monkeys! I've been reading back, working and lurking.

Lala's I would love to discuss what you are bringing up in the forum today!

I was also curious about the allegro early on because it was under renovation and the music reference in shango.

Lalas - As I recall from the PVs, the maid came at certain times on certain days. There is some confusion (at least in my mind) about whether there was one maid or two. No one "lived in" ...

This person has ONLY had serious discussion today. 

From my hazy memory...there were 2 pt. time
maids, one had a regular type schedule, the other was sort of like on a as needed basis...maybe to fill in/and or work with the other one sometimes.

have you been reading my posts?  I brought up the Allegro a long time ago and have interjected it into a few conversations over the last two years.

The Allegro is/was a hotel that was 'closed' for rennovation when Natalee went to Aruba.  The casino, however, was open. The hotel is now called the Occidental Grand.

My reason for looking at this hotel started with this:

Allegro is a musical term for 'lively'.  Way back in 2005 I found this psoted on a different form:

One other thing, I believe after listening to all the talk about the security guards and the clothing they wore as described by Deepak, the clothing he actually descripted sounded more like what was worn by security guards at the Allegro, not the HI.  Since the two security guards had worked at the Allegro, I wonder if they were setting this up in case someone could/would have placed Natalee at the Allegro?

Do you know from memory or have at hand where in the Murder and Crime Thread the Aruban statistics are posted?  I also believe Klaas once posted some taken from the public library there, right?

I see a Dutch tourist was the latest victim.  I wonder if it is taken more seriously if it is a Dutch tourist as compared to American one.

The "public library stats" are on M&C page 8 (188.140). klaas posted, she said it was posted by MF at FOB. I tried to bring it over but it's several screens shots of tables and they didn't make the copy/paste. (Wish we could use "Quote" from one thread to another ... )

Be interesting to see what the most recent version of those stats are. What we have is through 2005, and part of 2006. Natalee's case isn't included in any way.

I thought I remembered some discussion early about there being two maids. I don't have anything to back up my memory though. Does anyone else remember this?

Rolled is a slang tern for sexual activity.

I tend to see things in this case in a sinister light, very preplanned, for a specific purpose.

What I see as interesting as well is the bolded quote above in regard to the Allegro. If the Allegro hotel was closed, but the casino was open. Mary and the dice men entered the music (the allegro), but she was not taken there to gamble, but they the gamblers saw here there. ?? Just thinking out loud here. Any ideas??

I have corrected my sig line, but there are other links within the M&C thread, from the pages where the Summary previously resided ... if klass (or a mod with an Edit button) could correct those, it would be great ... as I said, you can use the link in my sig line.

Yes, there was some discussion about another hotel that was older and not in business.  I want to say the name was something like Atlantis, but could be wrong about that.  I believe it was a different hotel than the Allegro.  i have some information about it at home.  I will try to find it and post it later when I get home.

remember someone asking about Atlantis Hotel.

I went there when I was smaller. It's actually a street in the form of a J. On both sides there are Appt buildings. All are 2 stories and house 4 appts.
In the back there is a pool, and further back a jacuzzi.
There are a lot of overgrown Ficus trees hiding the apptments.

It's been closed for more than 10 years already and is located about 1km south of the Racket Club ( the place where they took all the water out of the pond). It's on the way to the Racket Club.

Scared Monkeys posts that EquuSearch was notified this morning of a potential place of interest located in the area known as the old Atlantis Hotel, an old run down hotel abandoned for at least 15 years. SM writes that three dog teams searched numerous buildings and underground pool areas of the area. Other camera equipment was brought in to search the more difficult to-get-to places, and after about two hours of "dealing with the dangerous environment, wasps and bats the search only found a plastic bag with a dead animal in it." (Another dead end!) SM also has some clear images of the fisherman's huts we've heard so much about.

EquuSearch was notified this morning of a potential place of interest located in the area known as ****the old Atlantis Hotel****. The Atlantis is basically an old run down hotel and abandoned for at least 15 years. Three dog teams searched the many buildings and underground pool areas of the area.
Other camera equipment was brought in as well to search the more difficult to get to places.After about two hours of dealing with the dangerous environment, wasps and bats the searchonly found a plastic bag with a dead animal in it.
