We still do not know their legal system (not sure the average Aruban knows it either)
    • How can you have bars / casinos that cater to underage activities not be held accountable?
    • How can you have adults that contribute to these activities not be held accountable?
    • If they are not held accountable for minor crimes why would we expect accountablity for any major crime

The implication of Jossy's words to Dana ... Dutch law was disregarded and Paulus and Joran van der Sloot received preferential treatment.

      Dana:

One thing that makes my listeners scratch their heads so to speak and wonder, myself included and we'll talk about it again, is the fact of the underage drinking and gambling that had been going on admittedly by young van der Sloot.

Was there ever any discussion or has there ever been any discussion at least of filing some charges as far as that goes?

      Jossy:

No, there hasn't been any of that. The authorities have just (inaudible) it aside, they haven't paid any attention to it then and they're not paying any attention to it now and over the past 26 months, I haven't seen anything in the direction of trying to make some kind of statement that this is not (inaudiable) at least make some sort of a statement that this is not (inaubible) because it is a known fact that as an underage he wasn't supposed to be in the casino, much less in the company of his father. He was there, there are video tapes to prove that and still the authorities haven't done anything with regard to that specific case.

      Easy

Haven't quite decided the K2 story.  Maybe Anita put the fear of God into them because they were "the adults" and Joran was the minor....plus, with PVDS' connections...they could be the next SG story.  They were probably all involved in the drugging and the assault.  Joran probably "quieted" Natalee, in their presence.  I believe they were probably sent away before final disposal. I'm open to theories on their involvement.

I'm kind of leaning in that direction as well.  The Kalpoes were involved, but I think they may have left Joran and Natalee alone at some point.

I'm leaning towards the Kalpoes leaving Joran with a gravely injured or sick Natalee.  They knew she was in bad shape but didn't know if she was dead or alive.

I agree and Paulus made the final decision.  This is why Joran is protecting his father.

Finally caught up. One more word on the Duggars' Jim Bob was a former state representative. If I remember correctly, he came from a large family. She didn't, and her sister thought she was crazy. All I can say is more power to them. I stopped after five. My husband would have liked to have more, but me and the doctor said enough.

      Hello wonderful monkeys.
