I don't think we know for certain but I do believe they were scheduled to leave some time today.

Hi guys...quick in 'n out. I was reading through Diario and went ahead and translated what was up today. Getting a sense of deja vu Rolling Eyes so here goes:

IT APPEARS THERE ISN’T ENOUGH TO SOLVE THE CASE OF NATALEE
http://getagripmonkey.blogspot.com/
Diario Aruba

11/28/2007

ORANJESTAD (AAN) – The investigation into the Natalee case is getting to the point where the Aruban Public Ministry and Police, with the cooperation of Dutch Police, must get solid proof in order to bring the case to Court.

At the moment, the proof that they are now presenting does not have enough weight to solve the case and to bring clarity to what really happened to Natalee. The case has taken a very negative turn for justice in the totality of the Dutch Kingdom and also badly affects Aruba’s image.

In America, there is big hope that the truth comes to light now and if this time again the investigation gets to the point where all the suspects go free and there is no case in Court, the issue of new evidence could backfire for Aruba and Holland.

Again, all attention is directed only to the three suspects because for a long time there were one or more people in Aruba who were talking [?] and came across certain people while they were partying.

Perhaps the influence of alcohol in combination with use of drugs resulted in guilty consciences? According to rumours that are going around in closed circles, there are one or more persons who were able to hear, with the help of certain maneuvers, about the case of the disappearance of Natalee and where apparently there are at least 4 more persons involved and for some strange reason this has not drawn police attention.

Does this have to do with some person who helped dispose of Natalee’s body? Who are the three people who police and the Public Ministry has to severely interrogate and if they break under pressure that would solve the case?

Sitting at a bar and close to certain people, sooner or later it gets to the ears of those who can bring key information to those who can solve the case.

On the other hand, it has already been said that there are at least three people who have key information but because of fear they have not approached the Public Ministry.

The moment has come for the Public Ministry to issue a press release where they offer anonymity and protection to all persons who can provide key information to solve the case of Natalee.

If they can give protection to those who buy fake driver’s licenses, then what is it to give protection to those who can help solve a case that has harmed all of Aruba and now even the Dutch Kingdom?

It's getting confusing again. So many people are assuming that the only evidence Mos has is the 12-14 pages given to j2k's attorneys. It appears Diario is assuming the same. I wish we knew whether there was more for sure or not.
It also appears there ARE "moles' or at least people who have been around one or all of j2k when they were drinking etc, or around one of their friends who knows what happened to Natalee, when they were drunk, who now believes they know what happened to Natalee. Perhaps this is why Dave and Tim are so confident they will find Natalee this time. Apparently the "moles" are too afraid to speak to ALE though. Is jossy telling us the goods are there, but ALE is not using them??!!

“With attention to the lying declarations that the son of Paulus, Joran Andreas Petrus van der Sloot (hereafter Joran) gave about his last contact on the 30th of May 2005 with the disappeared Natalee Holloway, the suspicion is not unreasonable that he made himself guilty of a conduct that can be qualified as murder, manslaughter, or kidnapping that resulted in death.
The possible involvement of Paulus with that could then be deducted from the file with the official reports of witnesses, amongst which two people suggested a contact existed between Paulus and Natalee Holloway the night of her disappearance, and a tapped report (that was given by the Prosecutor in her final note 1 to the Court). The tapped information and his declaration that he picked up Joran and Natalee by the McDonalds Palm Beach and brought them to the Holiday Inn, are clearly understood by the Dept. of Justice, and could in the judgement of this Superior Court, be considered as an indication of the involvement of Paulus in the disappearance of Natalee Holloway.”

FRANK AND OTHERS - WONDER WHAT THEY WILL DO WITH REAGARD TO AN EARLIER RULING BY ARUBAN COURT THAT DETERMINED PAULUS WAS NO LONGER A SUSPECT. WILL THIS DECISION BE REVERSED OR DOES NEW CHARGE HAVE TO BE BROUGHT AGAINST HIM?

THOUGHTS MONKEYS.....................

I would think they could consider him a suspect again if the new evidence points in that direction.  But...I don't understand their laws.

I don't think Mos needs any ace in the hole.

This case is much simpler than we realize. I think the corruption issues are a distraction at this point and in the sense of nailing the 4 suspects, not really relevant yet.

He's keeping it simple and I love the fact that he brought up Joran and Paulus's claim to know more.

Now is the time, let's bring Natalee home.

Frank,

I completely agree with you on this post.

Now is not the time to address the corruption.  This has to be taken one step at a time.  We don't need side issues to distract from what happened to Natalee and bringing those responsible to justice.  And I think Maggie is right that some of those previously involved may well be working with Mos on this.  Vd Stratten for example, said he had seen the evidence that Natalee was deceased.  OK, let's ask him what he saw.

Whether or not at some future time, Mos will be able to do that or not remains to be seen.  It may not even be possible under their system for Aruba had no corruption laws in place recently and had sent delegates to a world convention on them.  Even countries in Africa had corruption laws enacted but not Aruba so that remains a very murky legal issue.  Will they use the Dutch laws for that, I do not know.

For right now, I think we are going to have to settle for those responsible for what happened to Natalee being brought to justice.  All the rest is possibly going to be icing on the cake at some later time.  That is my fervent hope, anyway.

For now, I will be more than thrilled if those who actually harmed Natalee get their just deserts and TES is successful in bringing her home to Sweet Home Alabama for her family.  That song has a new meaning to me now as I always think of Natalee when I hear it and how much I want her brought home.  Although a very poor state as economies among the several states go, we Alabamians (my adopted home state) tend to love her and I know how badly I would want my own child recovered.

I could care less right now who may have sold drugs to the PIMPS or all of that.  Let's find Natalee and bring those who did this to justice.  The cover up will be for a future time.

The father who was one way or another involved in this case...

Just a reminder of what Mos has said in regards to Paulus.  We shall see.

Re:  Diario Aruba article

Seems to me Mos's silent treatment is making everyone nervous.   Very Happy

I totally agree Helen.  The last time, there were leaks, all kinds of info coming from different "sources"  This time, there is the deafening silence..Gives alot of people a chance to kinda think about things....

I truly feel like this silence is making ALOT of the peripheral players nervous.

SURELY Mos would not be stupid enough to pull a stunt and let them go after 8 days...It ain't happening.  Mos has the goods, just a matter of pulling it all together.

Paulus has no influence anymore, at all. The court has already ruled he lied to the court. The court also ruled he is likely guilty in the disappearance.

Mos is not leaving Aruba without bagging paulus.

I should be ashamed. I was feeling all the confidence in the world until I read the Diario article. Don't like it wen Jossy gets nervous. But you all are probably correct. Mos playing it close to the vest and it is making everyone nervous...apparently including me
