To many of the people who know her talk about the quietness.  I have a student much like her.  She is in fact a cheerleader, acts in drama productions, but you take away the stadium or the stage and she is so quiet people would hardly know her voice.

Not the blushing kind of quiet, but the serene type.  She is probably the most popular girl in her class.

You don't have to be loud and pushy to be popular if you are really nice.

wow K...you just described one of my cheerleaders to a "T"

How does one become so popular by not talking to anyone?
Actions speak louder than words perhaps?

You know what I think attracted her to him? His accent. Women can be suckers for certain accents.

Personally, I go for the Scottish, South African or Ozzie accent. You just can't help it.

alot of young ladies are like their mothers....and after seeing her mother's strength and classyness (classiness??? is that a word??)...and hearing the way she talks and carries herself...I just know that Natalee is similar....Probably has a similar voice also.  Mrs. Twitty seems to be soft spoken...but when she talks...you are captivated...and you listen...Natalee is probably just like that!

You are so right!  And her eyes are steady.  She is composed, but when she want to emphasize a point, her eyes sharpen - not in an unfriendly way, just in a "pay attention" way.

I am encouraged to hear that they detained another suspect today, and that there may be others.

This could mean someone is holding her - someone was was going to kidnap her, ransom, something with her, and then they got cold feet.

Round 'em all up!!!!   And then, Danish interrogators for them all.

Can't wait to read the morning paper - or do you think it will be another day???

Let me know if you want me to mail you "the real paper" so you can frame it!

Not sure if I made the deadline for tomorrow. If not probably Saturday.

KKM - a copy would be great, thank you so much.

Folks, I must say goodnight.  Long flight from Boston to Dallas tonight has wiped me out.

Keep the faith.  Say a prayer, all ya'll.

But perhaps she wasn't ever even attracted to him.  Maybe he was just hanging around.  According to the mother of a student on the trip, they didn't really, as someone said, "couple up".  Even when they were leaving that night, Natalie pointed to the group of friends who left at the same time and said she was going "with them" back to the Holiday Inn.  No one was concerned when they saw her drive down the street with Dutch boy b/c the car looked like a regular taxi.

obviously she is a very caring, sweet girl....who is nice to everyone....she was involved in church, her school's dance team ect.  I am sure Mountain Brook is not a very big school also....She may be popular because of her sweetness.....not necessarily one who would go up to somebody...but somebody who would smile in a friendly manner.
I agree, except it is a pretty big school.  1000--1500+/-
