A local radio station (TOp 95 or something) was saying that it was related to the case, at least according to a translation by aia.  That said, none of the MSM has said anything about it.

I have a question. Were Dash or any of the other students who were with Natalee on the night of May 30 ever interviewed by the police so an exact timeline of Natalee's movements could be established as soon as possible? I realize the Mountain Brook party was either on its way home or at home by the time anyone in Aruba realized the situation was serious, but...the Aruban authorities could have contacted the Alabama authorities and asked them to send out state or municipal investigators to talk to the students and chaperones. They could have asked questions such as: "Did you notice anyone behaving oddly or suspiciously around Natalee while you were at the club?" There are a whole raft of other questions, but they'd all relate to the same basic issue. If this had been done at the very beginning--maybe it was--the investigation might have been speedier.[/i]

If you read the Riehl story, you'll see reference to many of Nat's friends recieving calls from her cell ph. expecting that it was their missplaced friend they found it was Nat's Mom.  She was calling all of them asking what they knew about her actions.  This would have been the first inquiry directed to any of Nat's friends.
