writenow, the US government takes care of its interests and does not defer to non-US notions of "sovreignty" or ask for "permission slips."

You may like the policy or you may not, I don't intend to argue that with you, but it is what it is, and it is quite a point of pride for the vast majority of Americans.

American citizens are free to travel abroad, and many do, and many go missing, and should problems arise, they are empowered by the US government to fend for themselves unburdened by interference from Washington.

This case is an exception and we do not know the specific reason why.

I may be wrong on this, but I would swear that Good Morning America rana banner across the bottom of the screen this morning stating that Joran's FATHER had been taken into custody -- .....

I think this may be regarding the father trying to see his son which has been denied I believe, FOX is on now and no indication the father is in custody.

Good morning.

According to this, the motion was granted.

UPDATE 28: The joint court of law of the Dutch Antilles and Aruba has granted Paulus van der Sloot permission to visit his son Joran. The decisions came Thursday afternoon after Paulus van der Sloot had filed a motion for allowing him to see his son on Wednesday. Initially the Aruban authorities had allegedly denied him visitation because of his status.

wasn't it Geraldo who said during his interview of the Holloway's:

"I give you my word that I will not leave Aruba until Natalee has been found!"

(Geraldo must be the related to the spokesman who keeps telling us "we will have an answer in this case in the next 24 hours")

He's too busy racing his yacht to Bermuda this weekend....

After FOX had to retract his statements regarding an official saying he was best friends with Joran's father, I think they replaced him with Greta.

The brothers show themselves as students. Where do they live? Where do they work? We know little about them and still do. Lack of family or parents even entering the picture. Odd to say the least.

Twisted Evil There is nothing about the brothers because they have no family..they are Aruban clones..of Doran Joran.. Twisted Evil  Twisted Evil  Twisted Evil

What is the latest news on Natalee this morning. I see rumors of another arrest. Is this speculation or fact?
Just woke up, did real work, and fed the kids.

All this talk about "Ban Aruba" makes no sense to me.  I think Americans should go to Aruba and keep an eye out for Natalee.  Everywhere they go on Aruba, especially remote areas, look for her.  She has to be somewhere, and Aruba was the last place she was seen.

There's a growing number who believe Natalee may not even be there at this point.

NOT ONLY THAT  BUT Aruba is a "safe" island - This is a horrible incident and everyone feels for this family and Natalee, but a "bad" person did "something" not ALL THE PEOPLE OF ARUBA - I understand people are upset with how the investigation is going but I truly believe that because this is a relatively safe island they are not accustomed to dealing with a situation such as this. and we are not perfect in solving or investigating crimes.  The call to "BAN ARUBA" especially from Idiot Dee Fine is ridiculous.

http://www.cdnn.info/news/travel/t050616a.html

Cut and pasted from the link above:

According to several media reports, one of the suspects, Joran Van Der Sloot, had a personal web site that promoted gang culture and violence including gang rapes.  The web site was removed from the internet, allegedly by Van Der Sloot's father, within hours after he was arrested.

---------------------------------------------------
I saw his tickle site - didn't notice any gang references.  Guess I just wouldn't know gang culture if I saw it.  Does anyone know what was on Joran's site that was gand related?

How many MB graduates participated in the trip?

What was the total number oF graduates?

Who organized the trip?

Did anybody get free tickets and accommodation (usually the case with groups you get a free ticket for every so many in group.

How long has this been going on?

An Aruban judge could decide today whether one of three suspects being detained in the case can get a visit from his father. The judge is also considering whether the teen's attorneys can see any of the evidence gathered so far in the Holloway case

The above was cut and pasted from:  http://www.al.com/newsflash/regional/index.ssf?/base/news-14/1119009609150630.xml&storylist=alabamanews

If other attorneys get to see evidence, there will probably be more in the press about the evidence.

Regarding his website-
beleive me, I am not stickiing up for the idiot when I say this.....but here in the good old USA, there are a lot of young people who are into rap and hip hop. The themes are the same as the stuff perported to be on his website.
