Detective Jacobs is sitting behind the counter in a reclining swivel office chair. As we move toward him, he leans back in his chair. "we're ready to give our statements," we say, anxious to tell him the facts about Natalee's disappearance we've gathered thus far, so that an investigation can get underway.

He pushes one hand and then the other down and across his belly, which is extended by rearing his back. He says, "I'll have to eat my frosted flakes first," and then, running a hand across his jaw adds, " and get a shave before I can deal with you."  and with that he gets up from the chair, exits through the little swinging door, and disappears.

We are speechless.............

What really chaps me is the number of times that Dennis Jacobs has his "dirty hands" in so many opportunities to solve this case and put the perps behind bars permanently. ( Yes, I meant to Shango here.)  Anyone reading this book will see how apparent it is that Jacobs is the culprit from the beginning in the deception game.  He needs a T-Shirt with "hands" printed on the back, then again, do they make one that large?

Well, I'm not 1/2 through with it, but I'll say this: whenever Paulus became aware of the situation, he took total control of the damage. He was already in charge when Beth arrived at the Sloots. There was no looking for Joran and "discovering" he wasn't home. He came out with cell phone in hand and told them that Joran was at the Wyndham. Actually he said he was at the BACK of the casino in a tournament. Beth almost immediately started asking for those videos along with the Holiday Inn ones. Paulus had business at the Holiday Inn. She spotted him in the lobby the next day.

When Beth did view the Wyndham casino tapes - quess what - no Joran or Deepak.  She also said that night they were dressed it old clothes not befitting going out and gambling.  I wonder where they were and what they were doing?

Maybe playing the bifrons game?

Anyone else find the part about Beth's fear while waiting at the Buccaneer with "the reporter" and her friend (the restaurant owner) interesting?
Then the media is hiding in the bushes when they go to check out a lead at a crack house and the only way they could have known to be there - "the reporter."

Just how many times did "the reporter" set them up? 

I LOVE that Beth tags her as a reporter...you know the 'editor' is gonna be pixxed at that!! This was such a set up....and ren-HO was in it from the beginning....and orchestrated many such false leads and photo ops

Then the media is hiding in the bushes when they go to check out a lead at a crack house and the only way they could have known to be there - "the reporter."

What is wrong? The brothers had to be separated. The Babylonians have layed it thick and hard, but couldn't get what they asked for.

Tricked out cars and pc's. One decided to stay home and the other went to help. The Babylonians knew he was a bifrons. He bleeped on the screen all the way to Bill's lodgings.

People do not lose faith in the Babylonians.

The old ISA Joran went to is at the southern tip of the island while the SLoot house is up near the hotels on the northern end.

Anita was supposedly out of town at the very beginning so how would Joran have her key. The question I have is why would Paulus allow Joran to sleep at school those nights right after being confronted by the Twittys.  Or was Joran sleeping during the days there b/c he was busy doing God knows what at night?

On Natalee's Yahoo forum there there is a report that a helicopter is searching Santa Lucia area because according to the cell phone records of one of the three suspects there was a call in the Santa Lucia area at 6:30 am the morning Natalee was to have met up with the group to leave for airport.

I also noticed the comment that Joran had been sleeping at the school at night.  This seems so odd.  How did he get into the school after hours?  Did he have a key?

I'm sure Anita has a key to the school.
