I thought about her especially yesterday evening while listening to the Alabama-Hawaii game broadcast from Tuscaloosa thinking she should have been there having fun and cheering Bama on...I also wondered if anybody on Aruba knew that there were 92,138 fans there yesterday in the Bryant-Denny Stadium (on the Alabama campus) which is practically the size of that piddling island.

Ono I wonder if Koen's parents have considered also, that B'ham is only a mere hour's drive from Atlanta? Koen will likely need bodyguards 24/7 and I'm not promoting vigilante behavior either, that is one pair of stoopid parents.

I don't ever attend a Bama game that I don't see Natalee in my mind's eye on the field at halftime with that dance team.

I think you've hit upon the only hope I have that the Dutch will do something here, for Paulus' protection hasn't come from Holland but from Aruba thusfar. He made a few enemies within the Dutch government by holding out on the Boxtel sale to jack up his asking price for years, the gov took the heat for that too, due to many deaths of school children. So I just hope one of those who took that heat has a hand in on this new team, IF they truly  do get to investigate.

Food for thought:
After the Dutch review all the documents given to them by Aruba.  After the Dutch look at all the evidence given to them by Aruba.  After the suspects, witnesses, and others refuse to be questioned again. What happens?  What if the information given to the Dutch leads them to conclude that the local druggie on the street is the one that took Natalee?  What if all the statements and evidence DO NOT lead to the people we feel is responsible?  Will we be satisfied?  Will we feel there was justice for Natalee?  Those in power in Aruba have had over a year to rearrange, reconstruct , and redistribute evidence to fit what they want to happen.  And just because we have all this stuff and know all this stuff, why should we believe that anything new will come forth.  The release of these statements is strategically planned to avoid such an instance, yet those that can release this stuff must be certain that the world knows it all.  Just because Aruba says they are turning it all over to the Dutch doesn't mean the Dutch will come to the same conclusions we have.  I shudder to think that after everything Natalee gets no justice.  Remember, there is NO BODY, therefore there is NO CASE.   I fail to see any changes in the status quo...rocking the boat too much makes everyone seasick. JMO.

I was told that the station manger at 95 is a huge Joran supporter.  I was trying to get a copy of the transcript of the interview Joran did with them, but they won't give it out to anyone even tho Joran gave them permisson to release it.  A friend of Joran who'd been trying to get a copy gave me the station manger's personal e-mail addy, and suggested I try impersonating a Joran supporter to give it a shot myself, but before I could try scrux shut down and it was lost with all my PMs there.

Thanks for making me feel better about this. I have been really worried that nothing is going to help this case.  I see the inconsistencies, but wonder if the people that can make the difference do.

I am no criminal expert but I think the two compelling pieces of evidence that Aruba cannot cover up even now, may be the Chicago videos and also the casino footage of Paulus. If Holland truly does wish to solve this, those two pieces of this puzzle can qualify much for them. The statements can help, but Holland has to want to do it - jury is still out and will be until they show us da money.

I also just was thinking that if more responsible US citizens were visiting Aruba, which we know they are not due to the boycott, then I expect Santos would have been slapped silly by now in those t-shirts he wears.

I'm glad you're still on the case. It's been months since Holland was involved here, with spiriting away evidence in the NFI, and I expect they too never believed this could spiral out and down so far? So I am praying they have a shred of good sense and choose to stop this boycott and Paulus has cost ALL a great deal, even more than Joran. He's top of the corruption mountain...

I was reading that late last night after working on my girlfriends house all day and I thought maybe I was nuts or just too tired to comprehend what I was doing so I went to bed without reading the rest of it.

     

Try translating it some time if you want to get dizzy, lol     The problem is the format that they were received in doesn't allow for copying and running an entire page through a translater.  They have to be typed word by word into a translater first.  Then after that I check certain sentances through a 2nd translator, then certain words through a word by word translator.  Then the sentances need to be restructured to flow like English.  Then I have to screen capture both the Dutch and Translated into .jpgs for the front page.  Then run through a program to place the "watermarks" on them.  Then upload them to photobucket.  Then email to Red.  Then also added to the forum.

Klaas - someone should force a point and nominate you for a Pulitzer.

At this point, does it matter as far as the beloved tourism goes what the Dutch do ?
Will it make it all ok retroactively ?
I doubt it.
The images of a corrupt island have been planted. Aruba is the butt of jokes.
No matter what happens, Aruba is doomed to no American cash for a long time. I suspect several years. Fifteen ? Ten ?
And they are not going to be able to just print off some new glossies
for the tourists. There has to be a major clean up of the ALE and the
system that was in place before Natalee arrived.

Hi Lala's.  I agree.  That guy makes me sick.  I hope there is some justice for Natalee and not just another show.

I hope they realize that a lot of American's are waiting to see what is going to happen here.
