Still sounds like VDS to me.  He never danced with the lions.  I think he
made a decision that he regrets.  I think he has dirty hands, but maybe
the ones that carried out his orders has much dirtier hands.  It's easy to
say that you want something done but it takes a very nasty individual to
actually carry those orders out.

I think Dirty Hand has to be someone with official authority in Aruba who has allowed the Dutch and the criminal element to flourish.  Someone who could blow the whistle on them, bring in the big guns from The Netherlands and elsewhere to quash it or at least minimize it.  It's someone who has let it become part of their society.  IMO

That's what I think too...

But I think there is more than one person/meaning for Dirtyhand in Shango because of the different  ways in which dirtyhand is written. I doubt it would be an arbitrary thing for the spellings to be different.

Patti, I think that has to do with DirtyHand not having as much "clout" as the King does, which is understandable if we really are reading correctly what their positions are. The Arawak King is more detached from this specific matter but has more irons in the fire in other ways that would be negatively affected if Aruba goes down.

    When I read this, I thought you mistook a joking Cat type of reference to "fixing" a cat, as in spaying and neutering.  Then I read back.  This does not sound good:

But what does Shango mean when he says that he doesn't dance with
lions or Arawak, nor keep their company? (I almost spelled Aardvark
again)  

Does that mean that he isn't Aruban or does it mean that he doesn't
dance to their music?
