I don't know if it's just this latest news or this combined with other things in my life right now, but I had to take a break from work and sit in my car and just cry.  Poor Zahra.

Just thinking about something. Since Adam had custody of Zahra will Emily be able to take her back to Australia without his permission?

I hope so! I've wondered the same thing, but surely, surely, surely, this can be worked out! I can't imagine Emily having to wade through Adam's relatives who enabled him to bring her here into a deathtrap, to give her daughter a proper funeral!

All I can say is... the sorry POS better allow Emily to have Zahra now! 

Emily and Adam would be the next of kin.  Hopefully he will be in jail so I do not see the Baker's being able to stop Emily legally from bringing Zahra back to Australia and giving her a proper funeral.  I can see them however fighting and bad mouthing Emily on any decision she makes.

Aside from this horrendous crime that ended the life of this child, it needs to be determined how exactly this child came to reside in the USA.

Did AB bring his minor child, Zahra, to the US, by fradulent means, which resulted in that child's death?

I'm sure the Australian authorities are going to be interested in this as well.

I'd like to think the Australian authorities also want to know why he continued to keep this child away from her mother without a legal court order.

(His mother, KB, was also a part of this)

I wonder what Aussie law says about these issues?

I hate to go here, but it's going to be important for the trial. I wonder if they were able to determine a framework for time of death based on the remains? I remember in Caylee's case that there was speculation that if there was soft tissue remaining, it could be possible to better determine cause.

Can someone tell me when AB is supposed to appear in court for the threat and assault charges? I have a feeling they will nail him on that to keep him in place if he isn't locked up before then. This case makes me want to vomit.

Based on this impressive list of charges, I surmise that this despicable duo were into drugs and that Zahra's death and disappearance was a "brilliant" drug-induced scheme to get some more money into their coffers. The fake ransom note--all part of the groundwork to make the disappearance believable. Then, hopefully boss would help AB out with money to get Zahra back (it was supposed to be HIS daughter after all). If that failed, there was always a compassionate public and missing-person organizations to come up with funding.
