Casey's Attorney Calls WFTV Reporter "Stupidest"

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Casey Anthony's most well-known attorney did all he could Thursday to avoid WFTV reporter Kathi Belich (images | video).
Right after Thursday's hearing about recently listed defense witnesses, WFTV wanted to ask defense attorney Cheney Mason about his recent accusations that Chief Judge Belvin Perry is biased against Casey. Instead of answering, he hid behind his umbrella and told Belich she was stupid.

"Do you still believe the judge is biased? Are you afraid to show your face? Do you believe the judge is biased?" WFTV reporter Kathi Belich asked Mason.

"You are probably the stupidest reporter on the face of the earth," Mason replied, trying to shield himself from Belich using his umbrella.

"I'm sorry, isn't that what you said in your court filing?" Belich asked.

I think he was trying to poke her in the eye with that giant, elephant sized umbrella.
Was he afraid of getting his hair wet?
He is a bigger jerk than Bozo.

The really ironic thing is he is living his prediction..let me rephrase that, he's starring in the center ring of the "circus-like" trial.  When he gave that little gem to the world before he signed do you think he ever imagined that he would be one of the biggest clowns in it?!
Baez, we knew would always be an azzclown but the highly touted C Mason?? Who knew he was as rude and arrogant as his 'lead' counsel? Throw in the ever rude and vile Anthony's and it's unfreakinbelievable.

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Casey Anthony's lawyers are working to discredit the findings of chloroform in Casey's trunk. WFTV obtained a document that shows how lawyers may use the infamous Charles Manson murder case to do it.

The document also shows tempers flared during the defense deposition of a prosecution expert when the judge wasn't there (read deposition). Defense attorney Cheney Mason even threatened prosecutor Jeff Ashton.

After the two traded accusations of inappropriate behavior during the deposition, things got more heated and Mason threatened: "Don't get out of line with me, because I will take you, and you know I will."

The most dramatic moment in the Casey Anthony case today didn’t happen in court. Rather it happened as WFTV-Channel 9’s Kathi Belich tried to question defense attorney Cheney Mason outside.

“You are probably the stupidest reporter on the face of the Earth,” Mason sneered at Belich.

She wanted to ask Mason about a defense motion that Chief Judge Belvin Perry was biased in rulings on the case. ”He hid his face behind his umbrella,” Belich said of Mason.

It was baffling: How does that kind of behavior help a client?

According to a financial report released Wednesday by the Justice Administrative Commission, $60,226 has been paid so far, with the majority of the billings paying for investigative work and court-appointed, mitigation-specialist expenses. The defense has also billed more than $20,000 for expert witnesses to testify on behalf of Anthony.

Authorities estimated that Anthony's trial, slated to start May 9, will cost more than $361,000. Much of that will be used to house, feed and transport sequestered jurors for eight weeks. The jury will be selected in a still-undisclosed city and transported to Orlando for the trial.

can that actualy happen! the DT getting sued for spending all that taxpayer's money. I hope so and I hope someday we can find out where all that money went that was made off of caylees pics. I think alot of it he pocketed, bought expensive suits, took extravagent vacations! put a down payment on two houses he lost. And the list goes on?

Yup, that sweet baby was just around the corner. Three weeks before her remains were found, I went to visit my daughter in Gainesville. Had a few hours to see certain places in the area before going to the airport so I went to Hopespring Lane first. Drove past the house and around the corner, turned around before the driveway to the school and stopped across the street from where little Caylee was tossed. I cannot tell you what I felt, except that I needed to leave there and knew there was no need to go visit any other place like I had planned. Spent the rest of the day at the airport. I was not surprised when they found that sweet baby in those woods. Just sad, really sad.

Caylee's body was found really close to their home..I could not believe how close it was. the diagram from the air makes it look like it is much farther away than it really is..very sad when thinking about it when I saw the area.
