KLAAS, Shepherd Smith just said (and he gets about 50% of what he says right) that Joran has agreed to tell Aruban LE where Natalee's body is buried.  He is trying to save his colon.

But the catch is he wants to be in Aruba when he does it probably.

I'm curious.......... is everybody sure Joran even knows where Natalee is? I feel sure that Van der Stratten knows, and certainly Paulus did. Probably others as well, because I can't see just the two of them doing the grunt work but I'm not 100% sure Joran does.

I'm like 80% sure he knows. I do think she was moved at least once.

I'm not sure he knows ... but he knows (and can still give up) live people who know.  Paulus didn't get rid of Natalee's body by himself.  He wasn't that courageous.  He was a small little man ... on a small little island ... using up every favor (past and future) he had - not so much to save his monster of a son ... but more to save face and the family name. 

The family name "van der Sloot" means "of the ditch" in Dutch.  Very fitting indeed.  Joran is right where he belongs for true justice- - in a foreign country where even the best of jails are primitive.  He is living under crowded filthy conditions and has to urinate and defefecate into a hole in the floor in a room he shares with other inmates.  He is subject to regular beatings from his roommates who have no appreciation for the gringo.  Oh how he yurns for those cookies from his mother, who can pull no influence for him. 

we have the post around here somewhere - from a semi interested dutch poster - that tells the whole story of great great grandma having Joran's bastard great grandfather being born on the street in a ditch. I'm not kidding. There is a family tree and screen shots.

If they find Natalee's body and DNA says for sure it is her, that's when I will believe it.

I'm betting this is some sort of scam to try and get back to Aruba or some crap.

Could this be why nt charges have yet been forthcoming by the Peruvian prosecutor against Joran van der Sloot in the Stephany Flores case?

I pondered in my previous post:

Could it be that the Peruvian prosecutor is bowing to some type of negotiations with the Dutch Attorney ... the Dutch Embassy diplomats and/or ... the Aruban Solicitor General.

The cancelling of the press conference this morning did not settle well with me.  Maybe I am too skeptical.

Does anyone know what is the time in Peru right now?

The attorney for the slain girl's family, Edwar Alvarez, told the AP that prosecutors have until 8 a.m. Friday morning to file charges. Otherwise, Van der Sloot would have to be freed.

They were also seen walking together, but she always get too serious and not to the subject, in the midst of tables crowded with players, because in those days was made an international tournament poker.

When they finish bet they go out into the street through the front door, heading for the casino parking lot.  In this way, she stumbles. It was about 5:20 in the morning.
The rest is history. She was the murderer in his 4x4 modern black color to the hotel 'TAC', where he was staying.

 It is believed that the Dutchman killed after 8 am and then left the lodge to escape on board the vehicle of his victim.  He went to Nasca and there hired a car for a ride to Tacna and then cross the border with Chile.

Stephany's body was only found early Wednesday 2 June.

I know everyone feels very skeptical right now ... especially those of you who have followed this case since the murder of Natalee.  But IMO Peruvian LE is NOT going to cooperate with Aruba/NL.  Stephany was Peruvian.  The Peruvian citizens are furious.  Unfortunately they do not have a life sentence or death penalty ... but they also do not have 12 jurors.  Even if the case goes to "trial" - it's up to three judges - one of those being the investigating judge.  Guilty findings are almost guaranteed.

Say he lives ... and only does 1/2 of his 35 years ... Peru has said they will hand him over to the US ... I believe them. 

Yes, NL/Aruba officials may be crawling all over themselves and Peru to get their asses out of trouble ... but IMO Peru is having none of it.

Now if only Peru could find Natalee AND convict all the VDS co-conspirators ... I'd be a happy girl.  But right now they are mainly concerned with finding justice for Stephany ... and I get that.

Quit worrying, people. Peru is not beholden to ANYONE. Especially not Aruba or The Netherlands. They want nothing but revenge -- and they will get it. There will be pundits trying to scare us ------ it's only for RATINGS. Joran is toast and he WILL pay for Stephany. (I can't promise yet for Nat).

I agree that Aruba has no stake in this game right now.  This is Peru's show..and Sethany's father is not about to let her murderer go free from Peru.
