A reported deal in the works
Apparently there is a deal in the works between Peru and Aruba concerning Joran. If reports are correct Aruba will take custody contingent on Joran revealing the whereabouts of Natalee and due to Joran's past claims being false this new deal is only valid with the truth.

If Joran is truthful he will spend 10 years in KIA prison in Aruba and all other charges will be dropped.The deal was struck when it became obvious that with Joran's truthful confession in Peru and the likelihood of him getting 20 years and 10 years credit for confessing and credit for 2 for 1 days served resulting in only 5 years in a Peruvian prison in the best of accommodations provided at the prison.If the deal goes thru Joran will spend 10 years in the KIA.

If Joran's claims of Holloway's whereabouts are false then he will serve the maximum 20 years in a Peruvian prison without any luxuries at all.Authorities have said no more tail chasing in the Holloway case.

It is reported that in order for Joran to accept the deal he is demanding that in return for spending an additional 5 years in prison that he be offered the following: after spending 6 months in KIA that he gets supervised bi-weekly weekend furloughs to his mothers house and be allowed to play poker on his furloughs and then after 18 months of supervised furloughs that he be able to participate in a work release program thru the week.Under such a deal Joran would spend Sun-thru-Thurs at KIA from 6 p.m. til 6 a.m. locked up and from 6 a.m. Fri-thru 6 p.m. Sun on unsupervised furlough.

It sounds as if LE is attempting to kill two birds with one stone and give out more than the required Peruvian punishment with a chance for Joran to rehabilitate himself.

As stated its only a report and a starting point for LE in these negotiations.It sounds like a fair deal.Only time will tell what deal will be made.

The Holloways are probably in contact with the Flores family. That is only logical.

The Flores family probably, out of compassion, want to do their best to facilitate some peace of mind for the Holloways.

Joran knows that an exact confession of events and body disposal location are worth a lot to him and others.

It just seems too far of a stretch/compromise to allow for a two-time murderer to be calling any shots, regardless.

For the one-thousandth time, though, nothing would surprise me with Joran and his future.

A lot of brokered deals are probably trying to be brokered. International law is, most likely, being tested, as we speak.

His notoriety has given him a spotlight whereas Aruba and Netherlands still want to save his sorry ass.

Imagine the conversations that would have to ensue for their to be any truth whatsoever to this fantasy-land scenario.

It would theoretically have to be approved by Holloways, Flores, FBI/USA, Aruba, Netherlands, and Peru.

Hopefully, it is nothing more than fantasy...

After witnessing what the crowd did to Urine and the police van, I bet Anita will send her love through a Hallmark card. She would be beaten senseless if she stepped over there. No one is going to visit him, unless it's a reporter to get a pic and update on his condition.

As for the black bag with food and clothes that was delivered, I'm sure the police department appreciated the gifts.

no joke,rumors circulating in the South America is all I know,they may be true.Sounds true given the leniency in Peru. I guess we will all find out soon.

Well, you know if that had been my son, I would have gone down to C&C's and got my son and when they got home, I would  have beat the shit out of them with a fire poker and then I would have called C&C and the HI manager and told them either they stop the youngsters from parading in and gambling and drinking or I was going to have them shut down.  I would have sat out front watching what was going on and I would have reported them to the officials and if that failed, I would have written to the newspaper about it.  That's just me.  May be why none of mine have ever killed anybody but my boys are all 6 feet plus and I am barely 5-2 but they would never pull that bullying on me.  I had a fire poker and they knew I would heat it up and use it.

In the people article Anita says she hasn't seen Joran since his Dad died in Feb. Yea right. And Melody and Aline are blaming all his friends for turning there back on him. I haven't read the whole article yet, but wonder what they think now?

I posted this in JSM's cage a few days ago. I think it is of interest. It is a blog that a " young man" from the Netherlands created. He last year went to Peru, to visit " the incarcerated Dutch within the Peruvian prisons".
