So the piece of shite beat the tar out of Stephany and when he saw she was laying on the floor still breathing choked her with his shirt to ensure she would not talk.  I hope he gets terrorized every minute in jail.

Very few young girls play high stakes poker as Stephany did.  She would be noticed by Joran and an article did say they met playing poker the night before May 30.  I imagine Joran turned on the charm towards her that first night; after all, she was a good poker player and had money--lots of money.  The next night Stephany went out with friends and texted her friend she was climbing the stairs to her bedroom when she was actually headed to the casino for some poker.  This makes me wonder if Joran had suggested they meet the next night to play some more.  Now, Joran was out of money.  I do think he targeted Stephany as his next mark--a kind and generous young woman, susceptible to flattery, who would "lend" him some cash to play poker.  He didn't worry about paying back the money--his focus was on obtaining it for gambling.  I do think she lent him some money to play as she probably enjoyed his flattery and had fun playing poker with him.  She had no reason to believe he wasn't just like her--a wealthy young person who could easily afford to play poker.  He most certainly targeted her --actually, her money--and then drugged her to separate her from it.  Premeditated and planned robbery that resulted in murder.  It works for me.

Joran Van der Sloot is now moved to the holding cells of the Judiciary
Maximum Highness, Dutchman's lawyer filed a habeas corpus action before the judiciary to annul the police investigation into the murder of the young Stephay Flores.


The Dutchman Joran van der Sloot (23), confessed murderer of the young Stephany Flores, will be transferred today to the lockup of the judiciary, after spending the night at the headquarters of the Public Ministry, which was made available to the 40th Criminal Prosecution Lima.

Space "América Noticias" said the head of the National Penitentiary Institute (INPE), Ruben Rodriguez Rabanal, visited the night of Thursday the judicial lockup to determine the security measures for the transfer.

Much better conditions than prison, which is where he is spending his first night, tonight, if I correctly understand what's just happened.

Hi MsMarple! Joran's never experienced anything like Peruvian Prison before. Like you, I'm not 100% sure he's there tonight, but I'll sleep better thinking he probably is!

That reality is going to be especially difficult for Joran! From the time he was barely a teen, he had his own pad away from the house, and basically came and went at will. This reality is going to be particularly stark for Joran!

It certainly reads as if he has been charged with aggravated murder and robbery.  That's good news.  I think his offer to tell Aruban police Natalee's location is simply his last desperate gamble.  He sees these pieces of information as valuable items he can trade or sell, much like poker chips in a poker game.  All he has left is that last piece of information--Natalee's location.  Actually, his offer to tell this indicates how really desperate he is at this point.  It's his last chip--he's going all in.  I wonder if he knows yet that he's lost and the game is over.

Joran would life imprisonment

Joran van der Sloot to expect him to life imprisonment, for the fiscal Ninfa Espinoza Sotomayor filed a lawsuit against him for crimes against property and aggravated robbery subsequent death.

In its complaint, filed in the Permanent Court Time, today sent the killer to jail, maintains that killed Stephany Flores to steal the money he earned at the casino and not, as he said, because she discovered her viewing history on your laptop.
