I have a theory as to how this all happened.

It was a bunch of old guys with no idea how the media and internet had changed... and they got caught.. then they scrambled and had no way out and then left Aruba holding the bag when it didn't all work out they way it did in the past.

Then they needed a few books to put their lopsided slant on it all and confuse those that were still hanging on to the case.

They tried the 'consensual sex' angle until they found out that was gonna get someone convicted of rape and tighten the time-line on one suspect in particular.

Then they tried the self OD'd and buried herself multiple times.

Someone is pulling these strings away from Aruba.

Steve Cohen, special advisor to Aruba, came on the show hoping for a chance to talk to Beth about where the investigation stands today. Dr. Phil turns to Steve. "So, you're a paid consultant?" he asks.

"That's correct," Steve replies.

"And, who pays you?" Dr. Phil probes.

"I'm actually paid by the tourism industry, which is the Aruban Tourism Authority, and also a group called AHACA, which is an association of hotel owners on the island."

Wasn't Pauley a bigwig on the AHATA Strategic Task Force that was set up in Aruba to deal with the bad PR this was sure to generate?  He is also a porn advocate this states.

I think we need to identify who worked for who. Did Pauley work for ATA or AHATA or both? Same for Cohen and Dilella, who was paying them? I think Cohen said who he worked for somewhere.

Who slapped Cohen down when he made those statements on Dr. Phil's show that had to be retracted?

I agree Dayhiker- We need to start as close to the beginning as we can ... who worked for who and in what capacity.

IIRC Cohen said he was being paid by both the Aruban government and the AHATA or ATA tourism group. Hell, they are all so inbred the truth is there is no difference between the government and the tourism authority.

IBE - I think you're thinking of William Paley, who started CBS radio & TV and ran it for decades. Then there's Jane Pauley, was at NBC a long time (might still be).

Hey Ang. There was some sort of action, boycott vote put before Philly city counsel back in the day. Maybe that is what you were thinking of?
