Been keeping up with this since it started. I have friends and family in B-ham and stayed at the Marriott in Aruba on my honeymoon.  I have really hated to hear all the bad press give to the Island. It was awsome when we were there in 01'.  Hopefully this will end as the greatest made for TV movie ever when she walks into a hotel there with no memory of what happened to her...

now don't everyone jump on me, but the thought crossed my mind that joran and the kalpoes are held for their own protection...perhaps they wouldn't "talk" at first out of fear

i know it's wild and "out there" but given the way this thing seems to change from one day to the next....

I don't know that anything is 'Wild and out there' at this point.  What I do believe is going on is a cover up. Maybe not a cover up of what happened, but a cover up of Aruba's A$$.  They are loseing millions in tourist dollars from the US.  IMO, I think it's all a dog and pony show by the Arubian goverment to keep them from appearing as 'CLUELESS' as they really are at this point.

The only thing I don't see on this posting is the information about Joran's dad being questioned -- so far, I've only seen that on CNN.

Selena:  Venezeula has requested extradition of luis posada carriles for blowing up a cuban airliner in barbados in 1975-6.   He is a terrorist and we are holding him.  He was in Aruba for a while.  look him up.

I think it would be more accurate to say that he is accused of being a terrorist by the Cuban and Venezeulan governments.  In otherwords, he might or might not be a terrorist.
