Nana I understand what creatinines are in the blood. But did the doctors have any idea why they are so high? Prayers it's just temporary and they figure what has caused it. I was wondering if it might be because of all the strong antibiotics K was on for his infection. Prayers for you and the family. K will be home in no time. Try and get some rest an angelic monkey

BBM> Yes...that is what they are saying. When i googled it, it was a concern, til I read about "certain meds". The nurse told him it has dropped a bit, now his blood sugar is acting whacko...    It is all good, he is getting excellent care and I know they will make it so when he gets home...he will stay! thanks for the prayers.

That is good news if they are dropping. It doesn't surprise me that his blood sugars are acting up. With the meds he has been on the body has to now re-regulate it's self back to normal levels of everything.  I was concerned today when I heard that there was a tornado outside of Portland.  Then they said it was 80 miles south.  Hope you have good news tomorrow.

I will cut you some slack since you are a newly married mail - but just a piece of advise - Never, ever, ever insinuate your beloved should lay off chocolate. It is a bad thing to do - especially if you want her anywhere "near" you when she come over the holidays!

Iced in and no chocolate........

Me too
I'm sorry Leroy. If I had chocolate I would send you all a care package.

Thanks JSM!  Actually its not so bad...I made a double batch of cheesy ham and taters which I prefer over chocolate

And my dear neighbor has been spoiling me by shoveling my driveway and putting out the salt!

So ice me in...I'm ready
I'm with you, ham and taters and cheese any day over chocolate. (don't let Trimm see that).

Glad you have a great neighbor that is shoveling your drive. I worry about all you monkeys in the bad weather. When we get it the place shuts down. Luckily my Mama always drives me to work in the sleet, but one time I walked half way there because I couldn't get my mom on the phone.  A nice lady in 4 wheel drive picked me up and drove me to work. I couldn't get the car up the hill of my apartment, so I put on snow clothes and walked about 2 miles.

How about fries with cheese and chilli.....chocolate for dessert!

Question Puppy Dog Owners out there..... do dogs eat more when the weather is cold or is that an old wives tale?

Josef hasn't been eating but maybe a half a bowl of food a night and since it has gotten colder, he ate three bowls last night and is on his second tonight. He gained a pound and a half since I weighed him last and was just wondering if the weather is making him eat more.

TIA JSM .... I think he is ready for his ice bowl now.
I once worked for a vet, he told us that yes they do eat more in the cooler weather.  Because they are animals and know to "plump up", store fat for the coming months when hunting for prey WAS once their only way to survive.....Just nature doing its thing...guess we are all creatures of habit & heretitary traits!
Thanks Babs, this is out of the blue for him. Started when it got really cold the other day. Makes sense, guess that's always why I plup up during the winter.  Monkey Devil!

Plup up or PLUMMMMMP up?  CC is worried.
