Yesterday was a bummer, I couldn't open the doors on either vehicle as the entire vehicles were covered in ice. Took pictures but for some reason can't upload to photobucket so you all will have to take my word for it. Today is much better, the schools are having delayed openings in my county but in surrounding counties schools are still closed.

Fancy is feeling so much better that she leaps up on chairs with wild abandon..new trick

This is the brush guard on the truck.It is normally smooth flat black. You can see the ice on it but it is all over the truck...just hard to see in photo.

Good monring to you as well!  I pulled a muscle in my back shoveling this morning but it could have been a lot worse had my neighbour not plowed for me last night.

It did for a few hours this morning but it is just starting again.  Expecting another 20cm (8inches) by this evening.  I have not measured the dump so far but it is easily over a foot.  I don't have to go anywhere today thank goodness as the plows have not been out yet.

All of you in this terrible weather, stay safe and sound    Northern, I sure hope the snow slacks off, at this rate there won't be anywhere to shovel it too. That was awful when we would get so much snow, you couldn't even throw it up on the snowbanks, because the banks were so high.

Finally uploaded to photobucket. The grass looks normal but it had the same ice on it. Unfortunately forgot my piece of cardboard to use for a sled. I did take a run at it down the hill from the barn and slid sideways almost to the house. Today by 10AM it had melted and now we just have rain. Thanks Texans for sending the warmer weather this way.

Trimm did you get the ice ?  I have a 10 x 10 ft roll up door on the barn and it was so iced up I couldn't budge it. I had to go to the other end of the bar to the donks sliding door that was opened about 4 ft so they can come and go.(not that they went out ).

Riley does that.  He will run down the hill beside the kids sledding and try to take the sled out from under them barking his head off like he is trying to save them.  Then when they hit the bottom he takes the sled and starts running.  It is more time and effort trying to get the sled back from the dog.  We even put a tether on one of the sleds with an ankle strap (like a snowboard) tied to the kids so he can not go far with the sled but he just starts pulling sled and kid and starts running away from the hill.  We have been trying to teach him to run back up the hill with the sled but he just goes the other way.
