Letter Claims Haleigh Died Of Drug Overdose
Friend Of Misty Cummings Wrote Letter On Friday

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Some explosive allegations surfaced Thursday morning in the search for Haleigh Cummings.

A letter written by a friend of Misty Cummings explained what appeared to be a new theory about the disappearance of the girl and why Putnam County sheriff's deputies drained a pond over the weekend.

The letter was written by an inmate at the Putnam County Jail and claimed authorities have a sworn affidavit indicating Haleigh died after accidentally ingesting Oxycontin.

Kristina Renee Prevatt, a friend of Cummings, was jailed on drug and other charges. Prevatt apparently wrote the letter to her boyfriend, claiming investigators interrogated her about the Haleigh case last week.

The letter also indicated detectives have another sworn affidavit from another acquaintance of Cummings, Joe Pytco, that explained exactly how Haleigh died.

"We were all over at a party at Chad's house and Haliegh (sp) got a hold of some Oxycontin and died ... We supposedly freaked out and Greg put her (Haleigh) in a black bag in my car, and we took her to a pond by the Mondex," the letter stated.
The letter continued that detectives had taken Prevatt's car from a junk yard for DNA testing. In the letter, Prevatt maintained she was not with Misty that night. She was, in fact, with her boyfriend.

The letter was dated Sept. 18. That is one day before the pond outside Palatka was drained and searched.

Prevatt is 19 years old and has a lengthy criminal record, ranging from possession of cocaine, stalking and a probation violation.

When the word Mondex surfaced as the search site, I went to Google Earth to pinpoint a location.   A 'few' Mondex came up on the search.

I am sure they had the proper location, however, take a look at the other Mondex locations listed on Google Earth as 1.1 acre ponds.



Can anyone get a closer view to see if ...just maybe..this was the location they were speaking about.

I just want to say one more time..... IMO (as from the beginning) Ron Cummings does not know what happened or where Haleigh is now. BUT....when he finds out the truth, someone else will surely die. Count on it...he is a loose cannon ready to explode.

Missing Florida Girl Last Seen In February

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- A handwritten note from an inmate known to hang out with Haleigh Cummings' stepmother states that someone is alleging the missing girl obtained some Oxycontin and died.

Kristina Prevatt, an inmate known to hang out with Misty Cummings, who was in the Satsuma home in February when Haleigh vanished, sent the letter to her boyfriend. The letter became public when a Gainesville radio station obtained it from a private investigator.

The letter claims a man named Joe told authorities that Misty Cummings, Prevatt and a man named Greg were at a party when Haleigh got hold of some drugs and died. According to the letter, Joe said Haleigh's body was put in a bag, which was placed in Prevatt's car and taken to a pond
A Putnam County pond, located off Highway 19 south of Palatka, was drained last week in the search for Haleigh, who was 5 years old when she vanished.

Putnam County sheriff's deputies said the letter is not worth a comment.

In the letter, Prevatt denies that she was at the party, stating that she was with at her boyfriend's house the night Haleigh disappeared.

Prevatt remains jailed in Putnam County on several charges, including possession of cocaine and cyberstalking.

Even if they were not specifically looking for drugs, searchers did find about 100 potted marijuana plants along the water’s edge early Saturday morning.

Finally, Putnam County Sheriff Jeff Hardy released a statement before noon Saturday that the search was, indeed, for new clues in the Haleigh Cummings case, though he dispelled rumors that they had found a body.

Where Did Misty Cummings Go When She Left Home?

Enquiring minds have been wondering just where did the stepmom of missing Haleigh Cummings go without her husband this week as she was seen leaving with a girlfriend.

Unconfirmed rumors had it that Misty Cummings and husband Ronald Cummings had a bitter argument over the weekend as a pond was being drained a short ways away in the search for Ronald's 6-year-old daughter Haleigh who who vanished back in February.  However, Misty was seen on WESH-2 TV video kissing Ronald goodbye as she left with a woman to an undisclosed location.

Misty was indeed in Orlando with the intent to visit Universal Studios according to her attorney and according to her mother-in-law Teresa Neves.  Ronald and his son Junior were to meet up with Misty in Orlando today, but things changed after the media discovered their plans and made them public.

Misty is expected home today .

Neves tells 97.3 The Sky her boyfriend paid for the tickets.

The man whose name was difficult to read in the letter Kristina Rene “Nay Nay” Prevatt sent to her boyfriend from jail regarding questioning she received a few days ago about the disappearance of missing 6-year-old Haleigh Cumming of Satsuma, FL., has been identified Joseph Franklin Pytko.

An earlier attempt to decipher his name had it as a street name “Joe Psycho.”

It has been confirmed by sources close to the investigation that Pytko is the man who signed a sworn affidavit stating Prevatt, a party gal pal of the missing child’s stepmom Misty Croslin-Cummings, was at a party with Misty, Greg Page (a man the Misty just had a weekend of sex and drugs with before the child vanished) and the children Haleigh and Junior.

In his sworn statement–according to Prevatt’s jail letter, Pytko said:

“Haleigh ingested oxycontin pills and died. Everybody freaked out and White Boy Greg (Greg Page) put Haleigh in a black bag and dumped her in a pond at the Mondex”

Pytko has a bit of a past with police and reportedly has had some issues:

“Police were caught in a two-hour standoff with a man threatening suicide early in the morning of June 24, 2008, forcing the closing of St. Johns Avenue until officers forcibly brought the man out.

According to reports from the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, dispatch received a call from a concerned neighbor stating that Joseph Franklin Pytko, 32, was threatening to commit suicide by shooting himself.

Deputies arrived to the 3300 block of St. Johns Avenue and set up a perimeter around the man’s home.”

Grama .. K, now I think I understand. You mean someone to physically go there, correct.  I also notice on your post that there's yet another L-shaped pond in that area.  Wonder if that's also considered Mondex?  Do we have any Monkeys in the area?  Looks like they'd better have a 4-wheeler too!  Like you I am wondering if LE was a bit narrow in their search and what lead them to the exact pond they emptied.  Wish we knew that they know!

Hey Monkeys, I'm gonna throw this out there for discussion.  I keep thinking about this alleged party claimed by JoeP.  How likely do you all think it is that ... what, five ... of these characters could keep that kind of secret this long.  We've got Chad, WBG, Ney Ney, Misty, and potentially this JoeP at the party?  I'm just having a hard time believing, especially with the reward, not a one of these characters decided to step up and speak up.  Now, maybe if this party happened and Haleigh died at it, then they might all think they'd be up for criminal charges, so maybe that would keep them quiet.  But, I gotta believe that these at least one of these folks would tell a friend, who'd tell a friend, etc.  Ain't that usually how it goes? 

And, on top of all that, Tommy was quiet too.  Geez, if all this is true, LE's mumness on this case is only surpassed by all supposedly involved in JoeP's scenario!
