I posted this theory a while back ...now I am not sure what to think...you are right it has been way too long for anything to make sense ...I pray that this baby is still alive...

It's a good theory, well thought out, and interesting. Except for one thing. Ggma Sykes would have never left Jr. there, not protected, she would have taken him too. Big drug dealers don't just threaten one child, they go after the whole family. And Ggma would not have knocked Misty out, rendered her unconscious, and left Jr. with no one to watch him, allowing these drug dealers to possibly come back and take him. If their target is not there, they would have just taken the other child.

I agree, I don't think it had anything to do with Drug dealers, if it had they would have gone after Ron.. They wouldn't wait until Ron was at work  they would have hit the house while he was there.. He would have been and still would be the primary target.

That is typically true~but there are exception ......Nick Markowitz (sp) was kidnapped and murdered over his brother's 1200.00 drug debt. It can and does happen, remember the little boy kidnapped from Vegas last yr??????

They would not sneak  in the house in the middle of the night and kidnap one child... they would do it right in front of Ron and Misty. They would want him to KNOW who did it and why.

Well for one thing, the LE from the time the report was made, was pretty sure, it was family related..

  OK~Just to make sure I'm clear...........I have ALWAYS thought Haleigh's disappearance had to do with Ron and /or Misty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was simply pointing out that there have been times when drug dealers dealt with a family member and not the drug head themselves. I in no way subscribe to that being the case, I was debating a point!

Sure, I understand. I have read so many cases where these things happen, but none where they send someone  in the middle of the night and kidnap one child. If they truly wanted to get to Ron, retaliation or for money owed they would either kill the child or sell her, and they would want him to know who did it, but they would scare him so bad, he would not telll LE anything. JMO

I thinks it's extremelely rare though ........most of the time it's done that way to send a message, but in the Nick M case it was simply that it got out of hand and when they realized they were looking at life for kidnapping they murdered him....again, this is not what I think happened, but we truly don't know what time she went missing. The LE seem to have a fixated time period they are looking at and IIRC it's between 7pm-3am.

OK, Ive been wondering about something, what would happen if someone got together their own search team and went to Satsuma and started searching themselves, wonder if they would get in trouble with LE if they asked the people that owned the land if it was alright to search, Im thinking about gettting just such a group together, if nothing else, maybe it would get this town and what happened with Haleigh back on the news.....something has to be done...

I agree that she needs to be in the news, it's like she has no voice at all .

I agree that it is generally rare that only the one child was taken, but I do believe the intent was for both children.  I originally believed that misty was home that night, and that it might well have been too difficult to grab little Jr, off of the bed with a sleeping misty..  But, pulling all the relative facts together it makes far more sense, that she wasn't. Issues, the back door, the kitchen light, the van, cousin joe, and the info that misty may well have been out that night buying coke. 

The info that we received rang true about the girl sharing the same dealer. The little bit of added info,  makes it very believable. "misty bought coke that night, but didn't have very much money."  the added comment wasn't necessary for the story, its that added comment that makes the story ring true.  Dealing with lies and truths. 

Now, take all of the details put them together, 
misty was not at home.
Haleigh let someone in that night.
Someone changed Haleighs Clothes
They turned the light on to see.
they were near the back door

If misty returned home and was coming through the front door,  before Junior could be grabbed, what exit would they have left by?  The back door, and it remained open.
This explains all the inconsistencies of misty,  when you tell a lie, you have to tell another lie to support the first lie, and lies are not as easy to remember as the truth.  Because they are spur of the moment stories.

?????  I wasn't talking about anything except crime in retaliation for a drug debt, so I'm confused by this post about taking both kids..........are you saying you think both kids were targeted for retribution? I never have thought that Haleigh is missing to a drug debt, I think something happened in that trailer between 7pm and 3am that involved Misty/Ron and Haleigh and a massive cover up started.

If you are thinking parental abduction, I don't see it as usually both the child AND the parent go missing. I prefer to keep it simple instead of some family hiding her theory, IMO it just doesn't make any sense.

This comes from Pia over at In Sessions, I do hope she is happy with what she has done                                                       
I decided a few days ago that I was not going to post anymore until there was news. Then a couple of days ago a blogger decided to write something that contradicted what LE has said about Ron being at work. People decided to run with that. Of course Ron wasn't at work because someone sent a blogger an email that said he wasn't there the entire shift. Of course it is true because this blogger thinks the email is credible.

Well then we get a new email backing up in part what the first person had told this blogger but this email made it just a little bit juicier. And I see some people are believing that too...

For the record, I wrote that email. I made up the story about the guards, Misty and Ron's new job. I wanted to prove a point and it seems as if I did. This blogger is writing things with out checking a single thing out. He/she did not even try to see if the email was for real. It came from a hotmail account and if they had looked at the headers they should have been able to tell that it came from no where near Putnam county.

And also for the record, no mod on any message board was involved in this. Whoever is saying that is a liar.   (This case has really brought out some strange people, doing some very strange things.)
