I must voice my feelings or I will bust..... ::MonkeyDevil::Ron makes my stomach turn to even look at his picture...I will assure you he is a controlling piece of poo...Misty is scared to death of him. The question my mother ask me time and time again when I lived with a person like Ron was "What kind of " control" does he have over you?  and I could never answer that question....as I am sure Misty can not either. I do not see a end to this because Misty will defend him until the day he dies. I just pray that Haleigh is found because neither of them will ever talk....jmo

Ronald Cummings arrested for burglary, battery involving brother-in-law
Father of missing Haleigh Cummings booked about 1 a.m. Thursday

--snipped--

Sgt. Stacey Dowling of the Putnam County Sheriff's Office said Cummings was charged with burglary because he went into the vehicle without permission.

Cummings' daughter has been the focus of a missing child investigation since she disappeared from his residence in Satsuma Feb. 10. Investigators have nearly 5,000 leads they continue to follow in the case.

No arrests have been made in that case.

thanks for the report Klaas...at least we have some facts in front of us that we can discuss!

I don't know what to make of this! who is telling the truth, is Misty lying to the police or to her family? is she terrified of Ronald? why didn't she leave with her family or the police? Where was ron jr when all of this was going on? If I was granny Sykes, I would tell them to move out and take their fighting and boozing and troubles with them....just leave ron jr. with her...who needs this crap at granny's age?

I tend to believe the Croslin family that they went over there cause they were concerned about Misty..I don't think that they would all load up in a vehicle to go over there just over phone calls at that time of night...jmo...

I agree.  Misty's account doesn't make as much sense to me as The Croslin's.  (JMO)

I totally agree with you, Misty is not going to talk, that's her hubby and she is standing by her man. Question is what will happen with Ron Jr?

snipped:

Officers reported Ronald Cummings was arrested after a deputy was called out regarding a report he hit the woman's brother after her relatives arrived to get her. She had contacted her family earlier saying she no longer wanted to be at the residence with her husband and that she wanted them to pick her up from the Welaka home, according to a Sheriff's Office report.

Hank Croslin Jr. told a deputy Cummings "was acting crazy" and began "swinging at him," hitting him in the head and neck several times. The two fought, then Croslin said he got his vehicle to try and drive away when Cummings got in on the passenger's side and started hitting him again, deputies reported.

Ronald Cummings, when asked by officers about what happened, said he did not wish to speak and that it was his right to remain silent.

But Ronald Cummings later said he wanted to sign an affidavit against Hank Croslin Jr., his wife's brother, and his wife's father. In that statement, he said his wife's relatives showed up at his grandmother's house after they were told not to come there by his wife, Misty Cummings. He reported the men got out of a vehicle and approached in an "aggressive" manner. When he asked the younger man to get out of his face, Hank Croslin Jr. came closer he said and, thinking he was going to get hit, Ronald Cummings said he pushed the other man. Then Hank Croslin Jr. hit him while Hank Croslin Sr., his wife's father, held him.

The mother of Ronald Cummings' wife told an officer "she was not sure what Ronald was on but he was not in the right state of mind," according to information about the arrest provided by the Sheriff's Office. Until that night, she also said she never knew her son-in-law to be violent.

Hank Croslin Sr. told a deputy there were three physical altercations before they left the home and called 911.

I have a question -   if they do a drug test on Ron and discover that he was high, can they re-arrest him on drug charges?

It should be noted that Hank Sr was at the scene as well. He stated that he did not wish to complete a written or recorded statement. He said that he did not want his daughter to be mad at him so he did not want to take any action.                      (I think it is about time Hank Sr that you stand up and protect your daughter Misty, maybe her life would be a little better than it is, imo. Who cares if she gets mad at you, if Ron was hurting her step in and do something.)

The father of a missing north Florida girl is being held at the Putnam County Jail after the sheriff's office said he got into a fight with his wife's brother.

Ronald Cummings, 25, was arrested early Thursday morning after getting into an altercation with Hank Croslin Jr., according to the sheriff's office. Cummings is married to Misty Croslin.

He was being held in the Putnam County Jail on $12,004 bond on a charge of burglary with assault after making his initial court appearance. Court records did not list an attorney.

According to a press release from the sheriff's office, three members of the Croslin family showed up about 11:30 p.m. at the double wide mobile home in Welaka where Cummings, his wife and his grandmother, Annette Sykes, live.

A verbal dispute escalated into a fight between Cummings and Hank Croslin Jr. Misty told deputies she was hit in the face twice by Hank Jr. and her father, Hank Sr., because she was trying to break up the fight.

Hank Croslin Jr. was complaining of neck and head pains and was taken to Putnam Community Medical Center.

On the way to jail, Ronald Cummings said he wanted to press charges against Hank Croslin Jr. and Hank Croslin Sr., the sheriff's office said. Charging affidavits signed by Cummings will be reviewed by the State Attorney's Office.

Haleigh Cummings, 5, vanished Feb. 10 from her father's mobile home, just outside the community of Satsuma. She has not been found.

Authorities learned of Haleigh's disappearance in a 911 call from Misty Croslin, who was babysitting Haleigh and her younger brother. She said she awoke about 3 a.m. and noticed the kitchen light was on and the back door of the mobile home was propped open with a brick and Haleigh was missing.

Despite extensive searches and a $35,000 reward, Haleigh has not been found.

I say they need to take drug/alcohol tests on the whole lot of them involved in this altercation..including Misty and her family along with Ron...not granny Sykes though...she was in bed minding her own business as far as we know at this point...

I wondered if he was afraid he would make matters worse for her & feared Ron (when released) could be capable of something far worse than just hitting her.  (Just a thought I had).   an angelic monkey
