After reading all the search warrant material, why is Adam walking the streets? Maybe they are hoping that someone kills him, I know, that is wrong, and that isn't reality. But you do have to wonder

I had to exit left in the Kyron discussion, since TH now lives in the same town. The disgust was beyond what I could stand and everything seemed to be at a dead stop. Then while in there I saw this one.

Zahra completely captured my heart. The disgust is so much worse in this case. With every bit of information that comes out, their is something even more sickening around the corner. I try to detatch to a point and usually can, but when I read some of the things in those warrants, I actually broke down and bawled. I just don't know how many more 'revalations' I can stand. If I can't stomach it, it really puts into perspective for me what Zahra went through. I can only imagine some of the things that EB's own daughters went though. It's a shame that we are part of the same species as someone that could have so little disregard for an innocent life.

I so agree with you!  My posts way back in the beginning said I felt that this case reminded my of Shaniya's and didn't know what I do now.  Just that these two sick people in charge of Zahra seemed too dark and really evil.  Now my mind is wondering what she put her own children through now that we possibly know what she did with little Z.  What on God's green earth did they put her through?  Did they use her themselves?  Did they pimp her out?  Porn on the computer?  I hope there is so much evidence that they are put down forever.  I do think EvilE has all ready got her DP off the table by offering info up first but I have no doubt that in the first year and no more than 2 she will be murdered by a fellow inmate.  God forgive me but I will be the first to thank that person!  Child killers are the lowest form of scum by inmate code.  I hope they arrest him soon.  One thing? Was she a good enough liar to keep Adam in the dark and keep him away from his own child in the same house?  I have seen some women so devious to hide things right under their spouses nose.  Especially is the guy works really long hours.  (Please don't take this as me defending AB) Could she have been doing things to Zahra behind AB's back with other men?  Possible adding AB's name during dismemberment and stashing parts where another guy actually helped her while he was at work?  Not possible, right?  AB was surely involved and not that stupid, right? I'm just trying to figure out why he isn't in jail?

Man denies rape allegation in Zahra Baker case

CATAWBA COUNTY, N.C. -- Search warrants that were issued in connection with the Zahra Baker case have revealed startling new information about the investigation.

The warrants were unsealed by a judge late Tuesday afternoon. The 11 warrants were issued in October; they include eight warrants for the Baker’s Hickory home and three warrants to access social media accounts owned by Zahra’s stepmother, Elisa Baker.

In total, the documents provide 121 pages of new details into the investigation.

According to the documents, the Burke County Sheriff’s Office investigated a claim that Zahra Baker had been killed by one or two men who had raped her at a house in Hildebran. The men--cousins--are related to Baker's ex-husband. The tipster alleged that Zahra had been left at the home, and when her mother returned, the little girl had blood on her private area and legs.

According to the search warrants, one of the men had a relationship with Elisa Baker.

Lewis James Young, one of the two men, tells NewsChannel 36 that, to his knowledge, Zahra Baker, has never been in his house. He says he was questioned for ten hours about the allegation and passed a lie detector test.

When police searched the Burke County home, the warrants indicate a mattress with a dark stain was discovered. Young said, "I had gotten really drunk and urinated on it."

Police did not remove the mattress.

Young said his brief interactions with Zahra at Christmas last year were always good. "She was a very respectful little girl...always happy."

He says he offered his help to the investigators who questioned him. "I told them, I said, 'Guys, whatever I can think of--if I can think of anything else--I'll let you know. I'll help you in any way I can.'"

A woman who answered Young's cousin's phone hung up when NewsChannel 36 called for comment. Neither man has been arrested.

Most of the detail in the warrants concerns searching police made of the Baker’s home in Hickory. There, warrants say, investigators removed drain pipes and traps looking for blood. They also removed sections of the wall where they believe there was blood evidence.

The warrants detail the locations Elisa Baker directed them to search. They include a dumpster at an apartment complex in Hickory where Elisa Baker told investigators she and Adam had ditched Zahra's prosthetic leg, a dumpster at an apartment complex in Granite Falls where Elisa allegedly said they'd left Zahra's mattress, and a dumpster in Hudson where Baker's lawyer told police a car cover and bed comforter used to transport Zahra's body parts had been dumped.

According to the warrants, Baker also communicated that latex gloves stored in their home in Hickory had been used to dismember Zahra's body.

One warrant reveals that Elisa Baker submitted to a lie detector test and when asked if she had harmed Zahra or knew anyone who did, her answers were said to be deceptive.

I hope that I say this the right way it has been haunting me.  It is always horrific and sickening when a child or woman is raped, but the thought of a child that survived cancer, has a partial leg, and hearing aides is raped like this, it makes it so much worse for me. I actually got an upset stomach and almost vomited when I read this yesterday. Jessica lunsford and Zahra Clare Baker will be forever in my mind.

Zahra Baker case: Warrants released, and lies uncovered

The first of 11 warrants have already been published by the Hickory Daily Report.  They tell of the disturbing events of October 9th leading to the report of Zahra Clare Baker being missing, and the even more disturbing revelations that followed.

But we’ll come back to those warrants in a bit.  There’s something more important to discuss.  It’s the lies.  The lies of Elisa Baker, Adam Baker, Aaron Young and Karen Baker.

Remember the adage, “Keep your friends close and your enemies closer”?  Well, what happens when your friend considers you the enemy? Adam Baker is about to find out, because he has someone in his life he thought he could trust…that he couldn’t.  And they are talking.  And what they are telling isn’t working out well for Adam or any one close to him.

Let’s start with Karen Baker.  She’s been busy leading anyone who would listen to believe that she had lost contact with Adam, Elisa and Zahra “for two years” until the day she was told Zahra was missing.  Oh, and she claims she was told Zahra was missing on October 12th.  BUT, the truth of the matter is Emily Dietrich, Zahra’s mother, finally found Zahra through a friend who saw Zahra’s pictures taken in North Carolina. Included in those photos were pictures of Zahra as taken by Jennifer Moxley, reporting for Channel 14, as well as two photos that were snapshots taken by either Elisa or Adam Baker.  Those pictures were transferred from Karen Baker’s Facebook account and sent to Emily Dietrich on October 4th.

Emily asked her friend to contact Karen Baker and see if Emily could please speak to her daughter.  According to a source close to Adam, three days before Zahra went missing Karen Baker contacted Adam Baker and told him Emily had found Zahra and wanted to speak to her.  After the conversation with his mother a heated argument ensued between Elisa Baker and Adam Baker about the situation.  Zahra overheard the argument and confronted her father.  (Most likely because she had been lied to her whole life that her mommy didn’t want anything to do with her, and now she was hearing that her mommy wanted to speak to her.)

The next day the Bakers (Elisa and Adam) are reported to have discarded Zahra’s old mattress and replaced it with a new one.  Two days later they would report Zahra missing.

Now let’s talk about Aaron Young.  Aaron the ex-husband and fake brother of Elisa Baker.  Aaron Young the “we love Zahra” cheerleader who confusingly announced he was getting married on the same day Zahra was reported missing, states he hadn’t talked to Elisa or the family since either August or February (depending on which version you want to go with), and then flamboyantly revealed that Zahra was supposed to be in his wedding (that wasn’t announced until after she was missing)?  Yeah, that Aaron Young.  The reported “meth cooker” of the area.  The same one Elisa and Adam Baker are said to have been distributing for.  THAT Aaron Young.

OH – and the same Aaron Young, who according to the source, has a cousin who just got named in a published warrant, one Timothy Samuel “Sammy” Young, for allegedly raping Zahra Baker.  This same Timothy “Sammy” Young has been sitting in jail since about the same time as Elisa Baker.   [UPDATE:  Timothy "Sammy" Young apparently bailed out of jail today!]  By the way, Lewis James Young, the second man listed as allegedly raping Zahra, he’s reported to be “Sammy’s” cousin {correction}…so, yeah, I guess that would make him Aaron’s cousin as well {correction – atually Lewis is Aaron’s brother!, so we’ve got cousin and brother involved in an alleged rape of Zahra}.  Mysteriously, according to Adam’s friend, “the source”, Aaron Young and Elisa Baker both had told family and friends that Timothy “Sammy” Young had died!  Apparently Elisa and Aaron continued to see Sammy…long after his death.

So why did Aaron and Elisa tell people Sammy had died?  Why did Aaron Young tell Brittany Starbuck and the kids that “cousin Sammy” had died?

Why did Aaron Young tell people on Facebook that Elisa and Adam did NOT go to the Oktoberfest, when now we see they did! [People have missed my facetiousness in this previous statement...my point is, how does Aaron know they weren't there!  Was he with them assisting in whatever they really were doing that evening?] And why did Aaron Young post just 2 days after Zahra went missing that she didn’t deserve to go through that type of violence?  No one, at that time, had mentioned anything about violence.

Adam, Adam, Adam…Aaron…Karen…who can you trust when you’ve surrounded yourselves with the untrustworthy?  And on what can you stand when you’re standing on the wrong side of history.

NRCG, I know that sometimes my posts seem "Pollyanna-ish", but the only way I can get through this case is to consistently remind myself that for Zahra, the pain has been erased. I honestly believe that Jessica and Zahra are sliding down rainbows and that their laughter is woven into Heaven's glorious song.

I have a much harder time grasping that evil, like Zahra endured, exists in a sleepy little town like Hickory. I can't grasp that she suffered  at the hands of her own Father. I want all that hurt her to suffer like she did. I want them to feel afraid and helpless. I want them to learn empathy in terror since it was never born in love.
