In a phone interview, Cherry said he was Smith's first cousin and that the two are very close. Cherry also reiterated that he had never met Johnson and that he could only speculate as to how she learned his name, in order to use it on court documents.  The walls are crumbling all around the Smiths, wonder if they will be on NG again tonight?

1781 friends on FB?  She is probably using all this as a platform for the book she is writing. Just think of all the books I will sell, probably going through her crazy brain right now.

I wonder if EJ would be more forth coming with LE if she saw that the Smith's were throwing her under the bus. I hope they arrest the Smiths soon. I can say, the Smiths are lucky they did not play this game with one of my children because I would not be like Gramp J, I would have put a stop to their game before it started and if I couldn't have, I would have found out by now where that baby was before my child took the fall alone for a scheme the Smiths cooked up. I do believe the Smiths cooked this entire thing up, they have the experience,knowledge and friends lined up in just the right places. How long have they been planning this is the question. Wonder if there are any "almost" victims out there.

What concerns me and this made me lay awake for hours this morning. She was alone with the baby the days before and after Christmas. Christmas can be a trigger for people who suffer from emotional problems such as depression or bipolar. That poor baby, his first Christmas was not what it should have been I'm sure. 

The Smiths, if they believe in God as they keep proclaiming they do, they need to do the right thing and admit their wrong doing. The father needs to be with his son again. Regardless of what they (the smiths) want, the baby is not theirs. The father is a stable person, he will be a good parent. God would want them to stop pretending and take responsibility for their short comings. they say they are good people, now is the time they prove it or they will forever be considered nothing more then con artists and thieves.

Can someone answer a question for me, not sure if it is related to this case but I find it interesting? Is Arizona the state that has more kidnappings then any other states? Doesn't phoenix have the most per city? Does anyone know the average age of the child taken?

Reward offered for missing infant

A reward up to $5,000 is being offered for information that leads authorities to 8-month-old Gabriel Johnson, last seen with his mother in San Antonio in late December.

Crime Stoppers announced the reward Wednesday morning. The boy has not been seen since Dec. 26, and his mother, who remains jailed in Arizona on three felony charges in connection with her son's disappearance, has not cooperated with authorities, they said.

The infant's mother, Elizabeth Johnson, 23, is being held at the Maricopa County Jail in Arizona, charged with kidnapping, child abuse and custodial interference. A cash-only bond has been set at $1.1 million.

Authorities, including the FBI and the San Antonio Police Department, said Johnson and her baby checked into a North Side hotel from Dec. 20 to Dec. 27. Johnson was seen boarding a bus to Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.,  on Dec. 27, but Gabriel wasn't with her, authorities said.

She was arrested in Florida Dec. 30, after she failed to show up for a custodial hearing in Phoenix.

Authorities are calling a Scottsdale couple “persons of interest” in the case. The couple has said they befriended at an airport Johnson, who they said wanted to give her son up for adoption.

"If the child is in good hands, and that's a big if, then the child will still be around," explained Kim Hale from the Tempe Arizona Police Department. "But the longer we go, it doesn't help us in any way as far as trying to recover the child, where-ever the child is, whether the child is in a home, whether the child has been taken across the border to Mexico, or whether the child is at the bottom of a landfill."

She was last seen at Raymond Russell Park.  No comments from hotel staff etc that I have found.
